I remember a couple of days ago when he broke ground on a probably $4 Billion China complex and not saying one ****ing word about who is paying for it.

And almost none of the so-called journalists could manage to be good enough to object.

That just means he’s stupid. He could’ve self financed a space program in Mongolia from just two open pit goldmines. ( 2,200 gpt open strike in two directions. )

I dont know how to reach down to whereever you are but lets try this....If you go shopping and buy more bananas than you can eat in a week and so you need to throw 10% away at the end of the week...except these are humans often humans with families who believed in the dream and sacrificed for the dream.....and then you dump them on 2 hours notice as happened today....( you can have 8 weeks severance and **** you!...LEAVE NOW!)....Who's fault is it?

It is just wrong...this mismanagement that harms so many for no reason other than not giving a ****.

All I have done is ask you polite questions, questions which you should be eager to answer given your concern for the supposed mistreatment of these workers, and the only response I have gotten from you is distractions and now, insults.

No one is being discarded or thrown away. Businesses lay off workers all the time. Even in times of of prosperity. It is part of the normal business practice

So what is malevolent about it?

Will you answer this, or just post more deflections and insults?

Then why has this suddenly become an issue for you and why are you singling out Musk when you admit this has been going on forever?

I don't profess anything, and yes, people who think that humans lived with dinosaurs and the earth is only a few thousand years old are wildly ignorant.

It has not been going on forever, up till the 1970's firms made huge efforts to not sack loyal and competent employees.... to sack 10% of the headcount especially when the firm was profitable was considered dereliction of duty.

And surely Sir you are aware enough of your surroundings to know that Musk has long been a huge topic of conversation both at DP and in the wider society.....when you act like me wanting to talk about Musk is unusual or bad it makes it hard for me to take you seriously.

That is a fair point. Business did use to have more commitment to their employees. However, as even you note, it has not been that way for a long time. And like you, I regret that

Yes, Musk has been a person of interest, so to speak, both here and all around. However, he is far from alone in lacking commitment to his employees. In that respect, he is not unusual so I wonder why the sudden interest in him with regards to layoffs
