The Argus pulse jet that powered the German V-1 cruise missile in WWII used shutter-like valves to force the exploding fuel out the rear of the jet engine. These modern designs, cobbled together by amateurs, employ no valves. Neat stuff. No moving parts but plenty of thrust. But noisy enough to affect your hearing.

Hobby at best though supposedly Boing has patents awaiting use...it will be a very long wait.

Simple to make out of sheet metal, inexpensive & expendable. That is why the Germans chose it for the expenfable V-1. I'm not a futurist but such engines could have many uses in the future.

I remember most of the past & I am mostly aware of the future but I can't see the future too clearly.

I'm curious as to why you seem to have a negative streak. Always look on the bright side of life.

Yes they would, on a lake perhaps. But most lakes are surrounded by houses & they might object to the 120 dB+ noise it makes.

I am a realist and tend to evaluate situation based of observation and fact. I am not being negative, I am asking you for your opinion and pointing out information that will help you form it.
