Someone clarify this for me...
Do they use IQ tests in hiring applicants for positions ?
Seems what I'm hearing they are bias tests depending on how and where the applicant lives.
 
I’m not sure there is a consensus definition of intelligence let alone a reliable way to measure such a thing.

They were probably Spanish speakers. In Spanish, "mensa", or "menso" for guys, translates roughly to "doofus."

IQ tests are a poor measure of intelligence. They are culturally biased, for one thing, and tend to measure only some types of IQ for another. The same person taking an IQ test at two different stages of life may get quite different results.
