Jocelyn Bell Burnell was denied a nobel prize for her discovery of pulsars. It went to her thesis supervisor. It's a common theme in science as in society at large, that women's contribution can be marginalised and ignored. Science is somehow more obvious. My train of thought was started by a pic I saw of a female scientist I never heard of, who was instrumental to the success of the Apollo missions.
