Saw Something In The Sky

Last week the news said Jupiter and it's moons would be visible so I got on my telescope and think I saw something unusual. I was looking at a bright star thinking it was Jupiter (it was not) and as soon as my eye got on the lens I aw two lights on what appeared to be a body flash by in what I witnessed to me amazing seed. I immediately looked up at that star nd saw nothing. What stands out is I live by Bush Int. Airport so planes fly over 24 hrs /dy so the speed I saw was alarming.What was it? I'll neve know but it was surely something.
 
If you saw what you thought was "amazing speed" through the telescope, it probably wasn't actually all that amazing. You're focused in on a tiny part of the sky really far away. The actual area covered by the movement of any object is extremely small, but it looks a lot bigger in the telescope, and thus, moving objects look like they're moving much faster than they are.
 
To that I say I view the planes coming and going and they do not compare with whatever it was. My focus is nowhere close to a tiny part of the sky.

That has got to have been the space ship manned by ET beings which abducted me!

The ETs were not little green men, they were green women, human in size and appearance except for their skin and hair. And God were they good looking!

They examined me gently, carefully, thoroughly, and, um, stimulatingly, if you catch my drift. They kept me for a couple of "stimulating" days, and then dropped me off at the exact spot where they picked me up. I didn't want to leave! I want go back and stay with them!
 
It's entirely possible that you saw an artificial satellite.
 
I've seen planes or even satellites fly by in my scope...they move fast when they are magnified in a small field....

Jupiter will be in the night sky for another 8 months or so, it is just at its closest now though.

Cool thing is to find out the transit times of the moons, you can watch them disappear in front of, or behind the planet, and a few hours later, you can watch the shadow of the moon move across the planet.
