Hi
In the 1980's Reagan said that the environmental cleanup industry will fail and if it didn't it will never make any money. Today the environmental cleanup industry (minus lawyers and government) is a multi-billion dollar industry in the US alone. (personal knowledge). What happened? Corporate America realized that there was money in them thar hills.
Like most new things (planes, TV, environmental cleanup, etc) the narrow minded and myoptic people refuse to accept that there is anything in the new ideas or businesses and time after time they are proven wrong.
For a long time the Pro climate change people have been quoting studies, saying how many scientists believe in climate change or giving presentations using facts and figures to prove their point (Al Gore for example).
All they have managed to do is put a lot of people to sleep, especially those who can make a difference.
A few years ago a new kind of documentary came out using a whole new approach. It was called Carbon Nation. It is still relatively unknown, WHY? lots of reasons mostly the environmental lobby failed to see the wisdom of the message.
There is gold in them thar hills.
Showing by clear example and financial means that the alternative energy industry has a profit making ability will keep the attention of those people who like when the airplane or TV were know have the brains, foresight and guts to invest interest.
Showing how in the last 10 years the growth of alternative energy has added to the bottom line and will continue to do so is a better way than shoving facts and figures in the faces of people who don't know what they mean or care.
The biggest moronic argument against alternative energy has been its not effective or doesn't work. BULL. Obviously these people don't live in California, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Texas and the other 23 States that have money making enterprises supplying cheap, clean energy to the people in their states. Its also the same argument they used for TV.
So those who are in the fight you need to switch gears and talk to the movers and shakers in a language they understand. Otherwise you are just beating your head against a wall. Even Donald Trump with his limited intelligence could figure out a profit if you could get inside his bubble.
