Einstein gave up on defining the concept of "now" as I understand it, "it is outside the realm of science", he said. Augustine said "My soul yearns to know this entangled enigma". Example to add to this dilemma, when I point to you and say, "start now"!, now is one time for me and another time for the recipient so how can it exist in science? Once you say the word "now" it no longer exits and it does not matter how fast or slow you do it. Time moves slower the higher up we are rom Earth's gravity so again there is no "now". Correct?

I guess I will continue to work under the hypothesis that "now" is the local event of the future becoming the past and where the candle flickers.

Stephan Hawkins you are not.

I've never claimed to be Stephan Hawkins and you've exposed yourself for what you are with that stupid comment.

You were convicted of exposing yourself and now you are registered.

My now is 100% unique to me. No one else anywhere else in the entire universe can experience my now precisely. That's because there is a cosmic speed limit, the speed of light. Every bit of information arriving at my position in space has traveled more or less distance from it's source than will be the case for any other possible receiving position. My now is the conglomerate of all those bits of information. The conglomerate at any other position will be somewhat different.

Time is not a constant and it is not composed of discreet parts. It is free flowing in a continuum. It does not flow at a constant rate as measured by all possible observers. A moving frame of reference changes the perception of time. Being near a massive body changes the perceived rate of time change.

Wrong. It is defined in every English dictionary.

Here's one example:Now | Definition of Now by Merriam-Webster

Now that we've settled that we can move on to bigger and better things,eh?

This conversation is a common one in both science and philosophy. It being beyond you doesn't make it any less of a legitimate discussion. If you don't want to discuss it, you don't have to be here.
