Value of Technology

How Important do you think technology is?
I believe it is very important and is imperative to the success of humanity. Going off that, most of the way we live would not be present. It would be significantly harder to communicate with people from long distances, and mass production would not exist if we did not have technology. So again. How important is technology?

I own a company that manages restuarants,banquet halls,and catering.
I have an Iphone,an Ipad,a laptop and a desktop.
Because of technology I don't have to be in the office everyday.
I can be on the phone talking to distributers,while I place recipes on the laptop and still do responses on this form.

I believe it is very ****ing important.

And not just technology when it comes to things like computers and stuff.

I would literally be dead without it.

Technology is very important but it must be weighed in proportion to social and moral development. Technology does not determine moral agency. Humanity is currently too overdeveloped in the intellectual department, and our social behaviors remain rather primitive. It's hard to talk openly with most people about ethics, morality, and spirituality without being called a kook, and most people are using our current level of technology to engage in base animal behaviors which are destroying the planet or its inhabitants.

Tech is very valuable but should not be over valued. There are other competencies, as a species, that need to catch up, otherwise we will continue to be in immanent danger and a threat to all other life.
