From time to time surfing the web I come across some really troubling stories of heinous acts that human beings have engaged in against other human beings. Often they bring me to tears. And today was one such day where a man was convicted of sexually abusing an infant.

The number of heinous acts committed by some seem to be growing and often they are against our most vulnerable. You can call it mental illness if you like but the level of such heinous acts leads me to believe some people are possessed.

What say you?

There is no other excuse for the atrocities being committed today...much like Sodom and Gomorrah...I don't think the human mind is capable of thinking up such things on its own...

I think if there were demons, they'd conclude that our self-destructive tendencies are doing their job for them just fine, thankyouverymuch.

Of course demons exist, that's why it's a good idea not to associate with anyone involved in the occult.

Cardinal, in your wildest dreams, did you ever think humans would resort to the level heinousness that gets reported daily?

One point in my life I felt each of us had a good and bad side. I still do. But the level of constant hideous behavior of some truly makes me believe that there is an evil force among us that is possessing those with no scruples to do such things.

It has far surpassed what some like to claim mental illness. It surpasses sick into evil.

Uhh no....man's brutality towards others is getting less and less hideous over time.

Things were far worse in the past.

Yes to an extent it is. But too many take upon themselves to predict things they have no knowledge of knowing. I think it I wise to avoid such things and focus on ones inner relationship with G-d.

Demons? I think that is one kind of spirits. I've been asked if I believe in ghosts, my answer was not exactly. I believe in spirits, the unexplainable and the unknown. That because most can't see, touch or feel a spirit doesn't mean spirits don't exists. Demons is more or less a western expression or word that describes an evil spirit.

Agreed but Jesus did give us warning signs to look for and he also urged us to keep awake and stay on the watch...I just think time is very short because if not, there will be no one left on the earth to save...

Being a Buddhist. you do recognize there are good and bad spirits. Correct?

Yes Yeshua did give warning signs and the last century people have been proclaiming they were about to be fulfilled and found wanting.
Elvira, this thread is about demons. Do you believe they exist or are those performing outrageous acts just mentally ill?

Oh yes. Good, bad and shall I say neutral for lack of a better word. Spirits that do neither good or harm. There are a lot of different forces in this universe of ours, not all rational or explainable.

there are many things demonic; governments, politicians, armies, individuals, Catholic priest, serial killers, thieves, rapists, terrorists, the list could go into infinity, who the **** knows?

the Creator of this realm has made certain that all things demonic are fully vested & fully in place; it only suits the Creator's needs .........

point being, just because you post a thread in a particular sub forum does not mean that there may not be some over lap into other areas of being aka life that you may not desire your thread to go into; tuff ****

that is the nature of discussion so, stop lying to yourself ..............

Oh I definitely think the demons are working overtime, ever since Jesus threw them out of heaven...they know they have a short period of time left...
