Why aren't cults and spiritual books taken seriously?

And today more and more "sects" of Christianity keep popping up where some no longer believe they need the Old Testament/Covenant to understand the teachings of the one they call God Jesus/Yeshua. I find that very disturbing because to understand Jesus/Yeshua you must understand Judaism in its purist form. And without that knowledge and understanding, you get churches like that one in NY where the mother, father, sister beat their sons/brother, one to death and the other in critical condition in a hospital. You get larger sects calling Sunday the Sabbath when God ordained the 7th day as the Sabbath not the first. Yet you got a lot of Christians running around calling the first day of the week the Sabbath as if they had some authority to change what God ordained. Enough said.....

A cult just means that its a religion that is too small and does not have a lot of followers yet. Once you exceed that number you are no longer a cult, you are a religion. That is the DEFINITION of it. So you are saying "I dont like that fact so it must be a lie, which is pure and simple BS!" What people do and do not call a Sabbath is not relevant. A small religion is a CULT! That is all there is to it.

However what is wrong is you have a false misconception of what these words mean and so are trying to correct people. You should try learning the facts about what these words actually mean. Also saying that a religion is a cult since they have a small church is really idiotic. It counts by number of people following the religious TOTAL! Not how small a church is. So your justification is really idiotic.

Saying you dont like how another religion worships does not automatically makes it a cult. Technically the true meaning of the word "CULT" means a religion under a certain number of people. I guess I cant talk to anyone who is going to be this stupid though and call everything EVIL that does not agree with them. However I guess that is kind of what religion does though isnt it?
