JOHN LENNON LYRICS - Imagine

For a guy going on and on about "possessions," he sure seemed to be awfully attached to his.

Just sayin'.

If we all had the exact same lessons to learn we'd all be John Lennon. How do we know what he struggled with, what battles he won, what seemed insurmountable to him in his life? One thing we all have in common with Lennon is that we are all human. The things you might easily overcome or the things in life that are no problem for you at all may be massive challenges for me. You and Lennon could do very well at handling great wealth. It may not be a life lesson you would need to struggle with. Me, it would be. At one time I know I would be a freaking nightmare handling great wealth. Now, I would give most all of it away because I know it would otherwise make me unhappy. But, that's me. We are all different, thankfully.

Certainly Gandhi, Jesus and the Buddha were able to handle wealth and fame challenges. But maybe for them wealth and fame challenges were not as great as they might have been for Lennon. Or maybe Lennon handled his wealth very well and it wasn't a challenge. Lennon's purpose in life was not the same as Gandhi's or Jesus' or the Buddha's.

So you spent four years reading Eric Metaxas's article on God in order to earn your degree?

That's your spin.

And I see you didn't read the article or you wouldn't feel so smug.

Of course I didn't, it was another one of your countless evasions and attempts at distraction. I want to know what you studied when you said you got your bachelor's degree in science.

Are you capable of making a list of people who are now in hell and a list of people you believe will go there? Don't forget hell is forever.

Rich Little, pure evil. Must suffer.

You know a lot about him and his music for a young person. Wasn't him selling out, Yoko's fault?

Lennon's "commie" and supposedly "enlightened" values - as expressed through his music - were, and are, the lion's share of his mass market appeal.

I'm sorry, but the simple fact of the matter is that the guy was kind of a two-faced hypocrite at best, and a straight up terrible excuse for a human being at worst. The naive cult of hero worship he seems to have accumulated over the decades is a bit misguided in light of the actual facts surrounding the man's life, to say the least.

In reality, he was a serial wife beater, child abuser, greedy "sellout" S.O.B., generally unpleasant anti-social asshole, and drug addict. The record doesn't lie.

Here's a rule of thumb on that:

"But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." - Revelation 21:8

If you just took the cowardly, the vile and the liars, that would include most of the members of most of the churches I've ever attended. Looks like there will be more church people in hell than in heaven (presuming you actually believe in hell, which I don't).

There's a lot of wolves in sheep's clothing in churches. Jesus taught about that. They'll be in Hell along with the unbelievers and the rest of those on the list. That is, unless they REPENT and turn from their sins and receive Christ as their Lord and Savior for the remission of their sins.
