What about the souls of extraterrestrials?

Are all aliens going to hell? Or does each planet have its own Jesus?

If our planet required that god be born in human form, then tortured and killed to redeem us, then it follows that other planets must require the same thing.

Unless, of course, there is a flaw in the Christian religion.

The christian story on earth is one of man's relationship with god. Humans were at one time with god but they sinned and fell. Jesus was sent to redeem man.

So…..an alien race wouldn't need a Jesus if they never "fell" like humans. Of course, you would think they would do something to screw things up like we did. But what would be required for redemption of a non-human alien race? It would be arrogant to say that it would be the same thing humans required.

Who knows?

If the aliens never "fell", i.e., never ate the forbidden fruit, then they'd still be in their extra terrestrial Garden of Eden, wouldn't they?

And if they did eat it, then they'd have to be redeemed just as humankind was.

I am not a Christian, but if I was I'd figure God probably has the question covered. Personally, I have more than enough of myself to handle than to worry about anyone else.

Shoot first and ask religious questions later. If we run into aliens it won't be because they're on vacation. I don't know why we didn't put lasers in space like the Gipper wanted.

you sure we should shoot at aliens who could possibly swat us like bugs before asking all questions or just the religious questions?

aww crap they could have made a fruit salad with the forbidden and the life fruit so now were stuck with fallen immortal aliens

that would mean are guns wont work no matter how we improve them

Mornin DH? What happened to the Sumerians Religion that came before the Abraham Religions? Who taught Cain's son to write?

We should be careful asking religious questions. They're liable to be knocking on our doors every day wanting to lead us to salvation.

Aliens, obviously, taught Cain to write and showed the Sumerians the error of their ways.

Who knows? Maybe we are meant to be that means of salvation for the entire universe.

As a skeptic i believe that if such a thing as a soul exists, then all intelligent life in this universe (those who think, not just react to their surroundings)must have one, alien or human, and that they all to a singular "place?" when they die.

The horror!

The burden of proof is on the person making the positive assertion.

So, it's OK to make any sort of a negative assertion, and the burden of proof is on the other side of the debate?

OK, then.

The other galaxies don't exist. They ceased to exist thousands of years ago.

Do you have any evidence that they ceased to exist (since it is established that they did exist, the logical presumption would be that they still do)?

No, but since it's a negative, the burden of proof is on you.
