Last night at work a co-worker of mine made a statement about Jehovah's Witnesses that I'd never heard before. She said that Jehovah's Witnesses don't beleive that Blacks , Mexicans or other people of color can enter heaven. I told her that I had heard this about Mormons, but not Jehovah's Witnesses. Have any of you folks ever heard this? It seems strange to me that they would go door to door and try to get people of color to join a Bible study if this was true.:doh

Skin color means 0 to God or the JW,s--We are a united human family in love and peace--worldwide.
No where in Gods word does it teach ones skin color makes a bit of difference--it is the color of ones heart that means everything.

ALTER2EGO -to- AMANDA1858:

You did the right thing by posting your concerns here, because whoever told you that is spreading falsehood. True religion does not promote racial discrimination. Almighty God Jehovah is the one that decides who is acceptable to him and who is not. It is he that decides who gets everlasting life in heaven and who are allowed to live forever in paradise on earth. He tells us what he bases his decision-making on, as follows:

"At this Peter opened his mouth and said: 'For a certainty I perceive that God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.' " (Acts 10:34-35)

Jehovah's Witnesses consider themselves to be witnessing about Jehovah to others. That is the reason why they go door-to-door, preaching the good news of God's heavenly kingdom as the only hope for mankind. And they do this for the benefit of all those that are willing to reason on the scriptures--regardless of racial ethnicity.

Many, many of the Jehovah's Witnesses I've met have been Hispanic and black.

All JW I know are black so...Don't think they're sticking around to be one of the 144,000 if they haven't got a prayers chance....

I think she is confused. I had a black student when I was teaching in a college who was a Jehovah's Witness.

The Bible states that the Jews are God's chosen people.

You must have missed the part( renting of the banner at Jesus' demise was signifying this reality-- Matthew 23:37,38---They are cut off forever---but God left the door open to them---They must accept Jesus as the messiah--they never will.

Your co-worker couldn't be more wrong.

You might wish to enlighten her to that fact.
