If you claim to be a Catholic publicly, than you better adhere to the Church's teaching and promulgate it accordingly.

Yes really.

People didn't actually believe that in medieval Europe, that they did was a myth made up in Victorian England.
Medical knowledge is not equal to intelligence.
This was never anything more than a common superstition, whereas the absurdity that souls do not exist is accepted even by intellectuals in the modern day.

Wrong. This is a recent myth spread by fools who think they know history. The belief that the earth is flat was widespread in the medieval world. Even the Quoran says that the earth is flat... something most muslims love to ignore.
