Sort of....the holiday that became Easter was a celebration of fertility and spring growth that centered around the Goddess Eostara in Pagan Germania long ago. As with Most Christian holidays the dates were chosen to incorporate these pagans into the faith by letting them celebrate and saying it is for the Birth/Resurrection of Jesus.

The only one they didn't take is Samhain(Halloween).....so they turned it into something scary instead.

Yes, I understand. It was a good point you raised.

I occasionally enjoy watching this show, Armor of God, by the Church of God International.
