Is Hagee correct with his assertiion that stay-at-home dads will go to hell?

Am I alone in this or does it seem to anyone else that the popular interpretation of Christianity is in some respects being used to justify an almost fascistic (and I don't use that word carelessly) point of view?

This is a good example. Any normal reading of the New Testament speaks nothing in the subject of stay at home dads. It does say to do any work you do well and for the right motivations, but that's not specific enough to condemn people who do domestic chores.

Alternatively, people jump through hoops to use the New Testament to justify a certain taxation policy and treatment of businesses and the rich in ways I don't think was ever intended.

If you listen to what Jesus (or his disciples) said, he was far more concerned with personal growth towards his ways and point of view than about enforcing this or that social order.

So we have a very personal religion turning into something it was never intended to be. Because people like hagee find interpretations on things that the bible simple does not speak to. This has of course been done since Christianity got started, but I see god as much more personal than that and with the direction this country is going culturally (which is more and more fascist as well too) the religion is being used to help an evil cause :(

Women still shave their legs even though they hate it. I am talking about the 1970's women liberal movement. Women were already owning property, reading, writing, going to college and voting by 1970.

What is your perception on the matter? The right to have an abortion? The right to be lesbian? The right to have unisex public restrooms? What did I miss?

I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. "Women still shave their legs...." What?? What on earth does equal rights in the workplace have to do with any of this?

It's a barbaric obligation placed upon women by society. It isn't as barbaric as some practices throughout history such as foot binding or female circumcision. I have never talked to a women that enjoys shaving her legs yet they still do it.

My point is that women didn't fight to improve their situation. They fought for the right to improve the situation of corporate interest and it worked. When the work force doubles, wages go down. Women obtain lower wages for their self and the men in this country. Congratulations. Women won but not without the help from a few billionaires. Ha ha ha ha

Powerful men still rule the world but now women are fortunate enough to work for them. What a victory.

The only person who get's to say who will or will not go to hell is God, regardless of the topic. Any human who makes that determination is guilty of blasphemy because they are putting themselves in God's place. This is why I don't pay attention to televangalists, and imo you shouldn't either.

Unfortunately, however, most of humanity now works for the benefit of a corporate jerk.
It's the modern version of hunter/gatherer.

3. I agree with that. most our out there to get you to donate money to their organization. most have gotten in trouble with the IRS for not using enough of their money for charitable work as they are suppose to be non-profit.

And here I was taught the #1 reason folks go to Hell is they don't accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and THAT is the reason he did a few days on the Cross.

He took the hit, and as long as we accept Him as Lord and Savior we are GOLDEN, man is born in sin and commits 'sin', but if he asks forgiveness from GAWD and embraces JC- GTG

First, your absolutely ridiculous comments about women shaving their legs. That's a grooming choice. Just like shaving is for a man. There are pulllenty of men that could care LESS if their woman's legs are shaved. And plulllenty of women who hate men's beards and hairy backs. Jesus. Oppression?

Women began working in large numbers in this country during WWII -- all the able-bodied men were at war. Without that workforce, we'd have been in sorry shape. Corporate America would hardly hire them. Women chose to work for the same reason: their men were at war. And then they found they rather liked it. It gave them independence. For you to boil it all down to corporate greed (what??) is ridiculous. You know nothing.

I would not consider a situation where the woman makes mire than the man or where the woman has both children and an outside career to be appropriate in any way to begin with. I was assuming he was referring to a situation where he had lost his job and was the only parent in the picture.

Not all women feel this way. Just because you have hairy legs doesn't necessarily mean that all women are comfortable ignoring cultural mandates.

But then again, you probably shave your legs like you are required to do. Am I wrong again?

However, my radiomanterianism interpretation of the incident leads me to believe that Lot's wife---who, apparently, had no name other than "Lot's wife"---had applied for a position in the Sodom and Gomorrah public works department.
This quest for worldly goods--aka food-- sealed her fate.

Bull****, they wanted to not be forced to be married to have a lively Hood, they wanted the option to work and be indpendant and not be destitute if a man leaves them ....

Wages don't drop because women joined the workforce .... that's total nonsense, wages dropped because workers lost barganing Power because unions lost Power.
