Gay Sinners

I don't believe that tolerance is a good in itself.

Neither do I.

Let me be clear on something. If you were to pass laws that would criminalize my relationship, violate my privacy in my own home, or restrict my freedoms of speech, assembly, and association on the basis of my sexuality, then I would likely take very violent action against you in defense of my rights and freedoms. I am not tolerant of tyrants. I am not sure why you seem to think laws against consensual sexual contact between adults of the same sex are defensible given their tendency to violate the inherent rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness of gay people, but I would recommend that you consider that I am ready to kill and die for my freedoms and you better aim for nothing less with your own life if your goal is to infringe on them.

I think there are medications that might help with your violent tendencies.

You sound like a "gun toting redneck" are you one?

Before I answer I would like to know if you are suggesting that the child molester is a gay man. The opponents of "gayness" like to say that this is always true but I doubt that it is. I think most molesters are straight. I do not think that "gayness" is about sexual hangups. Christians seem to think this is the case. I do not.

OK now to the questions.

The molester who attempts to atone for his past sins but has difficulty in avoiding temptation is forgiven. There is no sin in temptation.

Whether or not the two gays who die in the accident get punished depends.... In their "gayness" have they hurt others? If so they get a punishment. If not they're OK.

I do not like to let religious writings do my thinking for me. I decide social/behavioral questions and arrive at opinions all by myself.

For those who wonder..... I am a straight man in my middle seventies.

ew, lame insults. No, I think he's someone who deserves the same rights as every other American regardless of sexual orientation. If you don't like it, tough ****. btw, I would die for my 2nd Amendment rights.

Molesters, like rapists, are interested in power not sex. They do not choose victims according to the victim's sex. They choose victims according to opportunity. They don't care if it is a boy or girl, their orientation is children.

It seems that this one time I cannot help but reiterate what I have posted in a former thread:

If there truly is a Lord it would be above the petty human creation of discrimination. Those that discriminate against others based on race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation lack empathy and logic. It is our duty as fellow human beings to encourage these people to a more loving disposition.

We even must love them, no matter how much they discriminate. Through love comes healing and understanding. BUT don't confuse love with inaction. Inaction is destructive to all parties.

Furthermore, I would like to add: Please be wary of the sheep phenomena. Please do not blindly trust in the words of an apparent authority figure without first applying a rigorous analyzation. Please do not allow yourself to commit to a position without first examining the opposition(s) in a sympathetic/empathetic manner. I caution against the wisdom of a book(s) written hundreds of years ago. Human understanding evolves and changes over time.

Ps - The moderator had to ask people to be civil? Kindness is the key to the world Ladies and Gentlemen. In my experience, the best way to approach any difference of opinion is with kindness.
