Richard Dawkins: a 19th century book written in 16th century English

For all his lofty talks about open-minded discussions and debates, Dawkins has proven himself a fake!
If there is anyone who has a huge delusional problem, it's Richard Dawkins: he suffers from Delusion of Grandeur.

He's a coward. He's all hot air. Here's the event that shredded his credibility.

Eastwooding Richard Dawkins.

Thanbks Tosca1. The video is just too long. I've seen enough of him to know what he's about.

Dawkins has science and reason on his side of the argument.

That's what he and his disciples think.

He lost his claim to "reason" when he can't even defend his own book!

Did you see how his book, the God Delusion was ripped apart? If he is confident about what he wrote, surely he can face any challenges that might question or try to refute what he wrote! That he backed down and literally cowered and left his pathetic book at the mercy of WLCraig surely shows that Dawkins knew very well he cannot defend his views.

He chose the lesser of two "evils" by refusing to debate with Craig.....knowing that he'd look more the fool than he already is - before the whole world - if he'd faced and debated with Craig.

Those on the other side have a collective delusion usually fostered through childhood indoctrination. There are times when Dawkins ridicules the arguments of others, but he is almost always a very pleasant and soft spoken person. I think people sometimes make the mistake of equating clearly stating ones position, as Dawkins does, with anger. I have never seen him angry, but he generally calls a spade a spade.

Well, the facts speak for themselves. He cannot defend his own book. Which means he can't even stand by his own views. In his reality, he must've known he spouted a bunch of gibberish which can't be defended.
You can delude yourself into thinking that reality about Dawkins doesn't exist.....but his own actions, and the reaction(s) across the board (even from fellow-atheists) are real!

It only confirms that his books are only meant for his target audience - the atheists who either hates religion (especially Christianity) with a passion, or the atheists who are so insecure of their own atheistic belief that they need Dawkins' reassurance(s) - through his books - that there is indeed no God.

In other words, Dawkins and his books are their crutches! Those books are these new atheists' cathechisms.
For a price, of course. And Dawkins is only too willing to oblige.

I agree. Many people are fearful of letting go that indoctrination, and are devoid of any idea how to 'fill the space' if they do let go.

Don't need to. I have a spiritual witness and an intellectual witness. You also have a massive text that can be tested scientifically as a forgery. You are free to read the mountain of evidence LDS scholars have published on this. There are 11 special witnesses of the golden plates with their testimonies in the beginning of the Book of Mormon Testimony of Three Witnesses* and Testimony of Eight Witnesses* . None of these 11 witnesses or others who saw the plates, ever denied these statements and throughout their lives testified of these things. What makes them more powerful is some of them left the church and didn't live in LDS communities and yet they would not deny their statements and even went out of their way on their deathbeds to re-confirm them. Circumstantial Evidence of the Book of Mormon:

When and if I ever hold those golden plates in my own hands and have plenty of time to authenticate them I might start believing some of the Mormon's malarkey.

Well, you know the old saying "nature abhors a vacuum", don't you? I'm sure something else would rush in to fill that empty space.

I do. But it is the 'fear' of unpredictability that probably scares the most, from discarding those shackles! :)

The fact that Joseph Smith even knew that writing on metal plates and burying them in a cement box with scriptorio, the ancient practice of putting the title page in the back of the text, are all evidences in support of the BoM. But this life is a test of faith and the words itself and prayer are what I believe is the wise way to go. A lot of eternal blessings will be missed failing the test of faith in mortality.

I have no fear like that, and the LDS faith is not shackles to me. It is a blessing. LDS people overall are greatly blessed. We all should be thus shackled!

The LDS and many others who believe in God support science and reason, Hawkins and atheists do not have a monopoly on it. And Dawkins' reasoning on God is not scientific and very poor reasoning. It puts him as a scientist in a very bad light.

The LDS produce a high percentage of scientists per capita, which is why until recently Utah and other LDS communities produced the highest per capita of scientists in the U.S. for like over a century. Massachusetts with several high tech companies moving into the state, recently passed Utah. Studies have shown LDS scientists have the highest rates of faith among LDS membership, something like over 90%. These studies have shown the higher the education, the greater the faith of LDS members which is the opposite effect of all other religions that were tested. BYU teaches evolution and all of science because they do not have the faulty assumptions some believers have. Dawkins like to make it seem like no real scientists believe in God, only a bunch of dimwits(BYU is top ten university in America whose undergraduates go on to advance degrees which hints at how the LDS stress education) yet much more impressive scientists than him do in fact have strong testimonies of God:

Some accomplishments of LDS scientists and inventors:
television - Philo Farnsworth
headphones - Nathaniel Baldwin
hearing aid - Harvey Fletcher
audiometer - Harvey Fletcher
stereo sound - Harvey Fletcher
video games - Nolan Bushnell
transistor radio - Marvin Harris
modern word processor - Alan Ashton (WordPerfect) [Read the history online]
CD/DVD technology - Robert B. Ingebretsen (plus other physicists, engineers and computer scientists at Brigham Young University and the University of Utah)
electric guitar - Alvino Rey
Zip drive - Iomega
NetWare (Network Operating System) - Drew Major
flatbed scanner
DOOM, Quake, Civilization, Age of Empires, etc. - Sandy Petersen
artificial heart - Robert K. Jarvik (inventor/doctor) & Barney Clark (first recipient)
heart bypass machine used in open heart surgery - Homer R. Warner

There are a ton of LDS scientists like this guy:
I'm a Mormon, Research Scientist, and Unicyclist - YouTube
