1 in 200 Women Say They've Had a 'Virgin Pregnancy'

Looks like all those pledges that Christians make their daughters take aren't working. LOL

1 in 200 Women Say They've Had a 'Virgin Pregnancy'

"The US researchers looked into a long-term, confidential study about reproductive health, and found that 45 of the 7,870 women involved said they had become pregnant without ever having had vaginal intercourse or going through in-vitro fertilization, AFP reports. Of those, 31% had made a "chastity pledge" of the type popular among Christian groups. "
This is the sort of puerile nonsense that occurs when the OP doesn't even read the article in their own link, let alone the snippet they actually copied and pasted in quotes.

Good grief, the article isn't even about Christians! The only reason Christians are mentioned - in the original story cited in the link the OP provided - is purely coincidental, given this is the Christmas season, a holiday when Christians... celebrate the [virgin] birth of Jesus. Other than that, neither the original story nor the one that cited it has anything to do with Christians whatsoever.

Moreover, the survey was a confidential survey - the religious status of the teens being surveyed wasn't even mentioned.

Talk about a shameful fail... :doh

It says 31% claimed to have made a "chastity pledge." The chastity pledge is a christian phenomenon. Face it. Only a pregnant christian would claim to be a virgin. It's the foundation of their religion.

So what?? That doesn't change the facts one iota. Neither the survey, the original article, nor the article which cited the original article made reference one to this being about Christians. The fact is - and this is quite clear, had you bothered to read the article - the ONLY reason Christians are mentioned at all is purely coincidental to the current holiday season.

Moreover, had you bothered to read that snippet you copied and pasted - the "chastity pledges" mentioned, were mentioned as being "of the type" popular among Christian groups. Attempting the gargantuan leap of logic from that to assert that you - or anyone else for that matter knows those who said they'd taken those pledges were Christians is patently asinine.

MOREOVER, the "chastity pledge" is NOT strictly a "Christian phenomenon." Good grief man. Asserting that assumes the entire non-Christian world wouldn't dare make such a pledge - which we know is absurd on its face.

But the most inane statement of all has to be this gem: "Face it. Only a pregnant christian would claim to be a virgin." That one deserves a spot in my signature.

Butt hurt christians can't handle the truth. That's probably why they claim to be virgins when they are pregnant.

Well, one thing - I think they're probably less likely to butcher their innocent unborn than the Biblically-challenged heathens.
