Why ultra liberal theology doesn't work

There's that 'No true Scotsman' logical fallacy at work again. Personally, I can't see how anyone could read and accept the Epistle of James and call themselves a conservative. See? I can do it too. ;)

James believed in Jesus Christ. Liberals normally don't, unless they've remade him into their own image. Something for you to think about.

I suspect you have less insight into what liberals normally believe than you assume. Is that a mote you're seeing in that liberal's eye?

I don't know how anyone can be a political liberal and call himself a Bible-believing Christian.

Was Jesus a liberal? « The Righter Report

1. This thread is about theological Liberalism .... not political.

2. It's you and the right wingers who desperately try and seperate religion from politics when it comes to biblical justice and social issues ... always.

3. "liberalism" is a generic term, which can include people like Martin Luther King (A Christian and a socialist), to bill mayer (atheist and douche)

... Liberal AND conservative Christians believe in Jesus .... COnservative AND liberal atheists don't .... you need to think before you post.

Most liberals are spiritually and Biblically challenged. I know, I run into them in these threads a lot.

As for the "mote," here's your next lesson.

The Bible – Is it wrong to judge? « The Righter Report

Biblically challenged? Says the person that posts links without reading them, cites scriptures without knowing what they say, and can't make a biblical argument if his life depended on it.

The fact that you get your theology from the righter report says it all, you're religion is conservative politics, which is why you ignore ALL the social justice message in the bible.

This has a certain ring of truth about it. Perhaps liberal theology is a bit like bisexuality. It has a validity in itself, but deep down we all know it's just a stepping stone to recognising your true (gay/atheist) nature. ;)

That's a little insulting to bisexuals ...

But in the end I think your partially right. Liberal theology want's to have spirituality without religion, kind of like wanting to get in shape without training.

Liberalism doesn't work, Racky. Not with Biblical theology or the real world.

I've never seen a liberal Christian who didn't either butcher the Bible or the person of Jesus Christ to make his world view work.

Hey - you're the one who denies the Trinity and Jesus as God. Remember, Jesus is divine!

No arguments here ... no scriptures ... as always, you can't defend your views.

Not on Social justice, not on Unitarianism ... Nothing. People can see my arguments from scripture. http://www.debatepolitics.com/religious-discussions/156925-social-justice.html

I deny the trinity yes, and if anyone wants they can look at my argument from the scriptures .... and your "argument" http://www.debatepolitics.com/relig...discussion-logic-man-nature-jesus-christ.html.

Social Justice my foot. Here's why Obama's pet "Redistribution of Wealth" is unbiblical:

The righter report is all you got huh (did you read the article btw, if so what was the argument?)... no one was talking about Obama .... But if People want they can go back and see how you deal with actual debates.

Racky doesn't like the analysis in the article so he goes to shoot the messenger. LOL!

Oh no, I just want to make sure the messenger understands the message .... and knows what it is ... I could refute the whole article right here, but given you haven't even read it, it would be a waste of time.
