Could somebody please attempt to explain the trinity to me? The entire aspect of the three aspects of the trinity being distinct but consubstantial baffles me to no end.

The Father is in a certain sense the source of divinity, the essence of God personified. The Son is his divine intellect, personified, who proceeds from him by means of generation. Th Holy Spirit is his divine will, who proceeds from the Father and from the Son in a single spiration.
