For those not aware of who this wonderful young lady is:
https://www.armytimes.com/news/your...-first-black-woman-to-lead-west-point-cadets/
My question is this, when do half black/half white (or any other race) stop being "black"?
She's smart, a leader, strong and disciplined, yet she is also "black" even though her "black" father left the picture many years in the past, she was raised almost exclusively by her "white" mother, who Ms. Askew references in interviews.
Of course President Obama was the first "black" President, even though he was also half white (maybe more), raised by his "white" family more so then the black side, but he's "black", not mualtto or some other term. Obama should be the first mulatto President, Simone Askew should be the first mulatto to lead West point, or is that correct term too derogatory to apply?
I was married in 2001and that option was on the license, if it's good enough for me and you why not these people?
