You can’t be a good Christian and a good Democrat

And how do you reconcile that with 1 timothy 4:10?

6 If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.
7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.
8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
9 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance.
10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.
- 1 Timothy 4:6-10

"9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." - Romans 10:9

You are putting too much meaning into a very few words versus the entirety of the Bible. Romans clearly tells how to be saved. 1 Timothy says "we put our hope in a living God, who is the Savior." You are not part of all people if you do not follow Romans 10:9 or 1 Timothy 4:10. Now, if you have truly put your hope in a living God and believe that He is the Savior, and you declare with your mouth that "Jesus is Lord" and you truly believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you too can be saved. I pray that you will be saved one day.

Oh, and Jesus was a liberal. There is nothing more liberal, on Earth, than getting people to worship a different god. His tax bill would have helped the poor. What about that part where the meek shall inherit the earth or that rich people can't get into heaven? Ya, he said that. What would Jesus do? He'd vote for a Democrat. Does Jesus believe in borders? No, he wants to evangelize to the whole world. There's your new world order. It's called Jesus.

You're funny, but Jesus was not interested in governing. He would have no party to vote for. He would have no tax bill. He was interested in changing people's hearts. He would and did tell individuals to help other people. He never said that government should provide the charity as he knew that it was better to give than receive and government welfare plans do not provide the personal satisfaction that true charity provides.

Very unfair of your god. Allowing other religions to be created and then not saving people who follow them.

Free will, my friend, free will.

No sermons please. It's not allowed here.

Where am I controlling your life. I am just making an observation that you can not show to others it is more than religious dogma, rhetoric, and your personal opinion. Who is talking about controlling your personal life? Nor, does my comment address 'understanding' or not of the bible. It is entirely making an observation of your inability to show you can not show your claim to be more than your opinion.

I said you had no control over my life so how could I show you where you had control? I can show some the truth. I cannot show others the truth. You have free will. You can come to believe or you can deny the truth.

He is also a myth.

So we will be punished for having free will if we choose the wrong god or no god?

Read my signature one more time and I think you will get the answer.

He didn't say the government should provide it, but you do agree, it should be provided. If the government were christian, like you would like, then the government would indeed provide it.

When I said Jesus was a liberal, I wasn't pointing to a specific party. But since he was a liberal, he would most likely vote democratic. He would also pick liberal parties around the globe.

Literally, Jesus was the most liberal person to ever walk the face of the Earth.

I know you don't like that. Maybe you haven't heard it in such a way, but that doesn't make it untrue.

If your on a Jesus journey, please consider the polarizing hate that has taken over politics. Jesus is against that too.

Well, you know,.. words have meaning. To ignore one word in a sentence will change the meaning. So, I am a not a person then. How nice of you to say that non-Christian aren't people.

Out of everything you just said, I can only agree with your last statement.

Which word of Romans 10:9 is wrong?

Thank you for agreeing to something. You are now responsible for knowing, and living, the truth. (not that you weren't anyway). There's nothing wrong with one more, good christian. He was still a liberal though.

I thought liberals were into drugs, rock & roll, and free sex. That doesn't sound Christ-like. Sorry, I had to yank your chain again.

Don't look at me. I wasn't there. Whew!

Well, I do not believe that any of the words in letters from Paul are right at all. However, I will say that your interpretation of the that passage is narrow, and your are putting in meaning into the words that is not there. Let's assume that Paul was correct. He said 'if you do this, you will be saved'. What he didn't say was 'that is the only way you will be saved'. That is something that you are putting into that passage, rather than taking from that passage. You are putting the idea of "ONLY" into the passage, and that is not said.

So, I don't believe the letters of Paul to begin with, but when I look at the words you quote, you are also adding words into the meaning of it form what is written. That is poor reading comprehension.

I never said that you were not a person.

yes, you did. You said I am not of all people. If I am not part of all people, then I am not a person. All people are all the persons in the world. The plural of person is people, and if I am not part of people, I am not a person.

Well, thank you for the compliment. It is appreciated. Now that you have said that I was wrong, let's look at some additional verses:

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.
21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
- John 3:16-21

Many people are not part of the all people to which the scripture is speaking.

Which then is in contradiction to to 2 timonty 4:10. I have to thank God I am not a christian to believe that God is so bigoted.

There is not contradiction when you do not take things out of context. I know you have heard me tell you this before, but you have free will. You can accept or reject anything you wish.
