Explain difference in "depopulation" and mass murder ... thanks

I believe depopulation leaves open the possibility that they could be repopulated elsewhere, whereas mass murder doesn't leave a lot of options.
 
Um... you do know humans tend to come with a natural expiration date, right? As far as I am aware, every human ever born so far has died eventually, most in less than 80 years, and the vast majority of them were not murdered. I am very sorry if no one has yet informed you that we are not an immortal species, but... we're not.

Murder is not necessary for depopulation. Humans tend to die on their own, and population will fall relatively quickly if you are making fewer than the amount that are dying.

Your ridiculous partisan propaganda notwithstanding, of course.

You are not a natural speaker then. in one case you kill existing humans. In the other you might resort to that, but the word indicates not. It implies either removing a population to another place or in the case you mention depopulation is achieved by fewer births. Did that help?

And your point is? Even without a conscious effort the projections are that the world population will level off in 2100 and then decline from there. No “mass murder” necessary

Nobody is claiming Prince William didn't say what is quoted, they're attacking the ridiculous lie that he (or anyone else) is promoting any kind of murder. Do you truly believe that he is suggesting people should be killed?

I believe he was talking about the situation in Africa where the proposed population rate is far exceeding the proposed food supply.

Depopulation as Prince William was talking about it doesn't involve killing anyone, but rather, taking steps to educate the poorest people about birth control and how to limit family size.

No one cares about the number of children the wealthy have -- those kids won't go without food. It's the children born into poverty that suffer. No one wants to kill anyone. Well, except for that nut, Pentti Linkola.

And no one cares much what the Vatican says about not using birth control anymore. Religion is quickly dying and the Vatican is among those religious icons that is toppling.

I would have no problem requiring a woman who was receiving welfare to be on hormonal birth control while she was getting benefits. She could always have more kids when she was back on her feet.

Faulty argument. If for every human that dies two more are born, then depopulation isn't occurring.

The 'decline from there' would probably include mass famine and other 'natural disasters'. I would rather see an effort to avoid that.

If families were limited to 2 max per family, there are people who do not even have 2, and there would be a population decrease.
