Holy Hell Alabama - What Were You Thinking?????

It should be easy to understand that the public isn't finished electing people they think might oppose the political establishment. I expect more and more of this.

Under the theory "Desperate times demand desperate measures".

I saw an interview with the Democrat running against Moore last night. He seems like a qualified good 'ol boy and a straight talker. He has a much better chance in taking out the Republican than that pajama boy, Ossoff they ran against Handel in Georgia.

Since God's will is supreme, nothing can happen unless he desires it. Therefore, 9/11 was God's will.

We can only speculate what his reasons are.

  • Perhaps he was punishing America for playing World Police.
  • Perhaps he was laying groundwork for another crusade.
  • Perhaps he was testing Bush to win a bet with Satan.
  • Perhaps he was smiting a guy in the World Trade Center.
  • Perhaps he was honouring a deal with Osama bin Laden.
  • Perhaps he was bored and wanted to stir up controversy.

That's sick. God granted free will, the sins of man are not His desire.

Don't worry, you'll understand when you're older.

Sorry sonny, who just joined this board last week.

I'm likely old enough to be your grandparent, based on your posts.

I'm in my golden years and have seen a hell of a lot of crazy-cat evangelicals garbage in my long time on this earth. That you thought that was a good riposte is a terrible reflection on you.

Hava gander at some of other thoughts of Mr. christian "9/11 was God's will"....

...
No government should ever tax its citizens, as taxes are legalized theft and most of the money is spent on the bureaucracy that collects them. If a government can't manage a state-owned enterprise(s) well enough to fund the nation's infrastructure, then they have no business running the country in the first place.

I'm not an "all about me" kind of person. I'm a "to hell with everybody else" kind of person. The former is selfish, the latter is just bitter and resentful.

I'm not a Christian, and my point is merely that "God did 9/11" isn't stupid.

No, 9/11 was not God's will.

The Bible is pretty clear that murdering innocent people is not a good thing.

The Bible also has many stories where God sends enemies to punish those who turn away from him, as well as others where he harms the innocent to punish the guilty. It would not be out of character for him to cause 9/11.

And even if God sent the terrorists, that doesn't absolve the terrorists of sin. God just used one group of sinners (Al-Qaeda) to punish another group of sinners (America).

and its clear that its not murder as long as the god wants you dead

This was in the 1970's. One of the things she told me was that in the small town where she lived with her partner and their son the locals found out that they were not married and when the people in the street walked past their house they would lift a hand to their face so as not to see the sin going on in the house.

Sounds like BS to me.

Political incorrectness won over political correctness. The outsider over the insider. Anti-establishment over establishment. There are some people who just don't want business as usual candidates.

Yes - but even the "not-business-as-usual" POTUS didn't want this guy.

I think one needs to realize Moore campaigned on being more pro Trump than Strange. Besides, I think Trump endorsing Strange was more of a bone to McConnell than anything else. Then again, there are times folks just go their own way. There is no doubt that in Alabama Moore was a lot more popular than Strange.
