On CNN today I saw a story that shocked me. Israel sentenced a Muslim woman to death for arguing with her Jewish neighbors and allegedly saying, "Mohamed rasool Allah (Mohamed is the prophet of God)". Condemnation of the sentence from world leaders, including those from every Western democracy, poured into Tel Aviv. Massive protests are being planned around the world. Israeli embassies are shuttering their doors and windows in anticipation of potentially violent protests.

Ok, of course that didn't happen. I just made it up. But why, you ask? Because that very thing is happening in Pakistan and nobody seems to care. The difference is that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is sentencing Christians to death. The world's organized outrage industry operates on a very selective and hypocritical standard, double standard, that is. Nearly 7 years ago a Christian woman named Asia Bibi dared to drink from the same water supply being used by her Muslim neighbors. They argued with her that she had contaminated the water because she is an infidel and therefore unclean (I'm just going to pause here for a minute and let the love and tolerance of Islam wash over me)......Ok, I'm back. She allegedly said, "My Christ died for me. What did your Mohamed ever do for you"? They reported her, she was convicted of insulting Islam, and now she is nearing the end of 7 years on death row and down to her final appeal.

Where is the outrage? Where are the churches? Where are the human rights activists? Where are the demonstrations? Pakistan has a clear and open policy of religious apartheid that surely creates an atmosphere of terror among its religious minorities. This is truly Islamic terrorism, and because it's being practiced by an elected government, we are left with no option but to conclude that a majority of the people of Pakistan are in favor of this policy. Shame on them, but even more shame on us if we let this happen without so much as a whimper.

Talking about fake news is never as good as the real thing.

So this is a troll thread.
How original

Where is a citation to the story we can read?

The problem is, there is wrongdoing going on every second of every hour of every day in every nation on this planet.

It is extremely difficult to summon up enough effort at constant outrage for issues frequently happening in one's own nation, much less the myriad of stories around the world.

You've brought this example to our attention and I am suitably sympathetic. But honestly, what more do you expect aside from a "disavowal" and "condemnation?"

A couple minutes with Google seems to confirm this particular is not fake news except it's Christian, not Christians.

You failed to read where he wrote

IN other words, trolling and baiting.

Wiki has a fairly good account. Just Wiki her name

Actually if you read all AFTER "I made that up," you would see he is talking about a Christian woman pending execution in Pakistan simply for being Christian.

Despite other's (not you) allegations to the contrary, I actually do often read things before I respond. ;)
