Wait... a country where 95% of the population is Muslim places a restriction on wearing the hijab in public, that it can't be worn inside schools and universities?
Interesting. Not sure I saw that one coming.
And in this video (1st one) below, am I correct that those pro-hijab protestors fighting police are men? Why are the men so riled up and not the women, given they are the ones that wear them?
Oh boy... I imagine a US led coup being plotted, eventually, by Democrats and liberals under the holy title of "bringing freedom" and "democracy" to Azerbaijan. But wait... if money (Azerbaijan is oil rich) is involved you can be sure factions of Republicans (like McCain and Paul Ryan) will be on TV telling Americans the US must overthrow the brutal tyrants in Azerbaijan and support the "freedom fighters."

The number of protests in Azerbaijan for the freedom to wear the hijab is growing, as are the questions surrounding those demonstrations—like who is behind them?

In Iran, a protest has been held in front of Azerbaijan’s consulate in the northwestern city of Tabriz against Baku’s recent crackdown on Shia Muslims.
