The Church Of The Pedophile

As someone who grew up very Catholic, the actions of the church regarding the abuse of minors are very disturbing. I honestly don't see how anyone can choose to be associated with it knowing what they have done.

Raised the same way. I don't know how to describe what the church did as anything but pervasive evil.

I grew up Catholic and American, and mixed-race but ethnically Black-American as well.

Without getting into every past--and current--evil the United States of America is involved in, the Catholic Church itself operated in a manner pertaining to sexual abuse of minors like most major institutions of America decades ago.

It is also worth noting the Catholic Church has its own legal system (Canon Law) and respects due process. Something the American legal system supposedly prides itself on. I say that because many say if a priest is accused the Church ought on mere accusation persecute him in some way. That's not how due process works though.

But the Boy Scouts, New York City Public Schools, correctional facilities for boys all operated decades ago with that code of silence. Does not make it right and I in fact think it was very wrong. But what I am saying is if you went back to the 1950s or 1960s in America it was believed all major institutions were too important for people to lose faith in so therefore every scandal had to be quietly handled and covered up.

The Catholic Bishops acted out of mixed motives too. Some motives entirely selfish and other motives actually had virtue in my view.

I mean, today in the USA we think every person's business needs to be put on blast (unless its us then we get mad), but there was a view decades ago by Bishops and others that not every persons business need to be put on public blast. In particular children that might have been abused were thought to need their privacy protected.

Personally, I think Bishops and clergy ought be careful about wrapping themselves so tight to secular institutions of power, and remember that Jesus judges them all. Worldly power is enticing but as the Bible forewarns, whatever happens in the dark shall come to the light.

Now, currently, Americans are engaged in the most evil on earth, second only perhaps to ISIS (but then America is deeply tied at the hip to ISIS). The Catholic Church would do well to distance itself from evil American institutions of power, but I doubt it will. Especially if the Vatican allows the evil CIA to use the Vatican Bank to funnel money through or launder heroin money.

I think the Orthodox have a better perception of Christianity. Not that they don't have their own scandals at times.

In their book "Sex, Priests and Secret Codes", Catholic Priests Patrick Wall, Thoman Doyle and Richard Sipes reveal the history of the Catholic Church's abuse of children and protection of the abusers since the church was founded.

A careful read of this thoughtful affadavit by Patrick Wall, will leave any rational person with a deep sense of betrayal and loathing for that criminal organization which has, for so long, been a persistent cancer on mankind;

Based on that alone the catholic Church, the Church Of The Pedophile as it surely should be known, should and must be brought to trial for crimes against not only children, but humanity as a whole.

Evidence for this abounds and the Church should have been brought to the world court for its WW II crimes alone:

Religion, Rome and The Reich: The Vatican's other dirty secret | The Independent

And; The Role of the Catholic Church in Yugoslavia?s Holocaust

But long before those atrocities, we had: 1000 years of Christian Barbarity,

Another suitable name for the RCC is The Church Of The Hypocrite: http://churchandstate.org.uk/2016/05/the-vatican-hall-of-shame/

Many Popes were pedophiles and sexual monsters of many kinds. Many "saints" as well.

And more: http://churchandstate.org.uk/2016/08/a-short-travel-into-christianitys-bloody-past/

I am at a loss to comprehend the kind of heartless person who, on reading the above, could continue to support such a foul and vicious organization which even today continues its crimes against humanity in general and children in particular.

Such a person surely can only be willfully turning a blind and ear to facts which would cause a normal person to gag...or simply not care.

The pedophile church is Islam. Their Prophet raped a nine year old.

And I would be all for throwing the bastard in jail if not for the fact that, you know, he has been dead for centuries.

Meanwhile the Catholic Church has been covering this **** up in the 21st century. Modern times.

It isn't that Catholics are more prone to pedophilia. But the size and hierarchical structure of the RCC make such coverups more damaging. If a local Mosque, or Baptist church, or little league team find out they have a pedophile there isn't just giant multinational behemoth of an institution that can sweep in and cover up the mess.

And the catholic Church is wrong for that. And they should be investigated and held accountable on an international level. But Islam worships a pedophile. It's clearly a pedophile church much more deserving of the title.

Well actually there is in Islam. They worship a pedophile. Fundamentally Islam doesn't view it as wrong. Where cultural Christian regions do.

And again the catholic church does hey away with it in a lot of cases having a nation of their own. I'm not excusing that.

I'm just saying that the religion that actually follows a prophet that forced a 9 year old to marry him and then proceeded to rape her is more deserving of the title.

The same way penn state still has fans, who demonize their critics no less - denial and rampant selfishness

Does anyone know and can document the percentage of Roman Catholic priests who have abused minors? I suspect that the percentage of low, but I will change my mind if someone can present statistics drawn from credible sources.

I have read that 85% of the victims of pedophile priests are boys. That tells me that homosexuals are much more likely to abuse minors than are heterosexuals.

The mainstream media emphasizes that this is a Roman Catholic problem without drawing attention to the homosexual angle because journalists tend to be secular, and sympathetic to homosexuals.

In general the mainstream media is reluctant to draw attention to facts that portray homosexuals, Negroes, and Muslims unfavorably. It is eager to criticize Evangelical Christians, and reluctant to criticize Muslims, although everything secular liberals dislike about the religious right is more true of Muslims and Islamic society.

Well, yes and no. There isn't as big an organization to get the priest to another country to avoid prosecution, but it happens just as often, and the various local churches will cover it up, for much the same reasons (no looking good will reduce people coming to it). What organization (religious or secular) it is have the same issues.. it isn't a matter of religion, but the bigger hierarchy's have a deeper issue with cover ups.
