Church Won't Mention Trump’s Name in Prayers, Fearing Microaggressions

I expect the dems to do all they can to obstruct.

Unless bedwetting establishment repubs give them what they want without a fight

How long before Trump and GOP honeymoon ends? Throw in the Dems, nothing will get done, buisness as usual.

many liberal/progressive Christians seem to believe that Jesus has already returned and His new name was Karl Marx

Was he Grouches brother?

That depends on trump

As long as he retains support of the trumpsters the whimpering finger-wetting republicans in congress will follow him

And as long as the republican majority in congress lasts thats all trump needs

LOL. Well it isn't quite that bad among the progressive Christians I know, but man oh man are they militant when it comes to politics. And they hate anything or anybody at all associated with what we think of as conservatism.

I am pretty sure Jesus would raise an eyebrow or two re that.

Progressive xians? Now there is an oxymoron.

Unlike Trump, the House will be up for reelection in 2018, we will see how long the GOP honeymoon last.

I dont think the Dems will be his biggest problem, the GOP in Congress is going to be tough for him to keep in line, time will tell.

How can one be progressive and still profess belief in bronze age superstitions?

And some post are so. . .what's the word. . .dumb?. . .they don't justify a response.

Just goes to show how little people know about diversity in the Church.

In Revelations God seems to be saying that in the Last Days the Church will be throughly corrupted by Satan

The last days have been going on for a very long time then since there was been corruption dating all the way back to the First Century well before Revelations was written. And of course I am not condemning the whole Church or all of the Church in any given period. But it is what it is.

I always have an answer for an honest question.

A reply is not an answer. How can anyone who believes in Bronze age superstitions be called progressive? Regressive would be the proper word.

I can assure you that 99.9% of parishioners in an Episcopal church do not believe in Bronze age superstitions, and therefore your inference about that is really really REALLY dumb. That's the point I am making and your comment was simply too dumb and non sequitur to the thread to treat as a serious question. Plus it was a deliberate attempt to derail the thread which I see as offensive. And no, I am not Episcopalian.

Do they believe in and follow the bible? Then they believe in and follow Bronze age superstitions.

Yeah, I should have followed my earlier instincts and not responded to you at all. But I wish you no ill will and do wish for you a pleasant day.
