The Canadian Israel Lobby and the mainstream media was very upset at last month for the anti-Muslim FoxNews commentator Ann Coulter being banned from delivering her usual anti-Islam tirade at the University of Ottawa (Canada) after thousands of people protested outside the venue to show their distate for her cheap popularity stunts. The University’s action is projected as a “dangerous blow” to the freedom of speech in Canada. Interestingly, most of these groups, media and political leaders called the annual “Israeli Apartheid Week” observed last month at various Canadian Campuses as “anti-Semitism”. Anne’s tour was arranged by ‘International Free Press Society’ whose website calls Islam as “the preeminent threat to democracy in the Western world”. The group’s board of advisers include ‘Islamophobe’ like Dutch politician Geert Wilder, author Mark Styen, bloggers Ezra Levant and Kathy Shaidle. Anne Coulter reportedly charges US$10,000 per speech which is partly booted by the Zionist think tank the ‘Claire Boothe Luce Policy Institute’ (named after the second illegitimate child of dancer Anne Clara Schneider).
An earlier victim of “freedom of speech” at University of Ottawa was Professor Dennis G. Rancourt. His many crimes included his political activism especially his courageous stand against Zionist entity. Dennis was fired on March 31, 2009 for using his “freedom of speech” rights at the Campus.
Another victim of the “freedom of speech” at the University of Ottawa was – Marc Kelly, a brilliant student. It was also his political activism – specially courageously supporting the oppressed Palestinians, criticizing the University’s refusal to academically boycott the Zionist entity and gallantly backing what University of Ottawa officials and its President Allan Rock (a former Canadian politician, UN ambassador and staunch Israeli supporter) opposed.
Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya, a student and former Ombudsman of student newspaper Fulcrum, was also dismissed last month for supporting Professor Dennis Rancourt – amounting to ‘anti-Semitism’.
