Should the US and Iran Cooperate With Each other Over Iraq?

Simply put, No. We should not get involved in a sectarian war that has been raging for 700 years and unless these people decide to rise up out of a 7th century culture, it will never end.

But the United States is partly to blame for the secrataraian violence because we invaded the country and destabilized it.

Seriously? This has been going on for over 700 years. Plus, this Sunni uprising started in Syria, not Iraq. The Iraqis had the opportunity to form a unified government, which we asked them to do, but Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki decided to exclude the Sunni's in the government.

That ain't our fault.

My answer is actually other. I dont think we should get involved directly with military forces in Iraq. I think we should pressure the Maliki government into being more accepting of Sunni's into the government and stopping his authoritarian rule. If that means working with Iran through that sectors, then I think yes we should cooperate with Iran. But cooperating militarily, no, because I dont believe we should get involved militarily.

NO.....we should not. The Iranians will use it as Leverage. Anything they do we would be tied to it. Which say nothing of Enemies Working and cooperating together.

The Iranians want to take on the Terrorists......then by all means. But don't just talk about it and talk about it and talk about it.

Assad has attacked ISIS all along the Border. He has gone after ISIS's HQ in Syria when he busted them Moving tanks across the Border.

The Terrorists took over an an entire Iraqi Military Base. They have 72 Tanks.....Humvees and Armed Transport. Worse.....some think they took the entire arsenal of Stinger Missiles from that base.

Now does anyone think these Terrorists would take all the Heavy Equipment and just Leave the Stinger Missiles there? Hence the worry over them taking a couple International Airports too.

Its everybodys Problem....this does not mean we need to work with our enemies. Even if it does affect them too.

The US may need to go to war with Iran in the future, so even though Iraq is essentially a puppet-state of Iran, cooperation is unacceptable. America needs to support Iraq and hope that Iran doesn't build a relationship with them. *fingers crossed*

other : Iran and Saudi Arabia should cooperate to fix the problem, as it is their region and their responsibility. the US should withdraw troops from the region and close the embassies in every hostile country there and in the rest of the world.
