As state revenues recover, health costs remain a burden
By Michael A. Fletcher, Published: June 11
State revenues are finally returning to pre-recession levels, but the growing cost of providing health care for the poor is leaving most governments in dire fiscal straits, according to a report to be released Tuesday.
The biggest culprit has been Medicaid. State spending on the joint federal-state health-care program for the poor surged by 20 percent this year, following a rise of 23 percent in fiscal 2011.

Obama Care shifts the cost of National Health Care to the states Medicaid rolls then doesn't fully fund them. The Federal Government shouldn't be allowed to mandate anything they don't fully fund. In California we will get clobbered with all the poor illegal aliens residing here. This will absolutely "kill" any growth we could have out of the depression we're in. Obama and Obama Care must GO in November.
