Hi folk,

Obama has charisma, unfortunately most of GOP candidates do not possess it, therefore they will lost, except Sarah run, probably together with Cain. The both are candidates with charisma, therefore they can attract voters, Sarah for example attract not only Americans alone, but also all Conservatives in the World. Also, what do you think, do a potential candidate need charisma or not, thoughts?

Would it be rude of me to ask what your first language is?

Yes. You didn't actually answer my actual question, actually.

Charisma is only necessary if you want to win. Seriously, look ever the Presidential elections since 1960, and in most cases the more charismatic candidate won. Obama, Clinton, Reagan and Kennedy were (or are) exceptionally charismatic. Even Nixon, who basically had zero charisma, was more charismatic than Hubert Humphrey.

Agreed, but the presidents you point out were charismatic enough to attract votes from all political ideologies, Palin's brand of charisma being limited to the religious right and tea party advocates. Though I don't think even the Koch Brothers would be foolish enough to support her in another national election.

Exactly, GOP should stop empty wasting of time with obviously losers and begin to prepare themselves to support the candidates who can really win in 2012, I mind Palin and probably Cain.

I am a Tea Bagger, do not forget that Tea Party supporters are majority of GOP, Palin probably with Cain could win.

Do you have some unbiased sources that identify the republican majority consisting of tea party supporters?

Any Tea Party Poll will be for you 'biased', you can belive that more as 60 % of all GOP voters support Tea Party.

We've been voting for the more charismatic guy since the first televised debate.

That's why we suck.

As one comedian put it (loosely paraphrased): When you're staring at your voting ballot, look at one guy and think to yourself, "You know what? Now that's a guy I could totally have a beer with," vote for the other guy.

Sorry, I don't accept biased opinions. Do you have anything from say Pew on the matter?

Would be nice if we could get a president elected based on his character and views but its the media and the sheeple that vote for whoever the media puts out there that gets elected

.

Have you never seen a huge Teleprompter by this comedian?

This thread does bring up a great point. If Nixon had been able to match Kennedy on the charisma front, who do you think would have won?

You have the word of Alfons, the most unbiased guy here!

You can the mind of medias ( except FOXNEWS ) flush down the toilet.

If Nixon could have matched Kennedy's charisma the world would have ended in a charisma tornado.

I answered what I thought about the more charismatic candidate winning in general. I don't know what detour you're trying to bring up here.

I would vote for someone who is not very charismatic but would never vote for someone who lacks confidence.

I hope if Palin/Cain ran, you will change your opinion and give them your vote.

Charisma is important, but sometimes moreso for the VP pick.
