I would if I had the right. :)
However he is wrong about the gold standard. I guess it's because he is a real conservative.

Hello? Just because the Mayor does not wish to vote for an old crank who blamed the United States for the bombing of the USS Cole, and by inference, the other terrorist attacks on this nation, does not mean the Mayor supports big government.

A fiscal conservative would be saying almost all of those things are the State of Texas' problem, not the taxpayers in Wisconsin's problems.

So you don't think we brought those actions upon ourselves?

No.

The USS Cole was refueling in Yemen, a nation with which the United States was not at war and which, to the best of the Mayor's knowledge, the United States had never been at war. At the time of the atrocity, the United States was not at war with anyone.

Last time the Mayor saw them, the Twin Towers in New York City were graceful, peaceful, and not making any threatening gestures to anyone. They were unarmed buildings.

Ron Paul is good only for libs because Obama with surety will win. Only Sarah probably together with Cain can effectively fight Obama.

So is this like Mortal Combat now?

His ideas seem rather distinct, however, this should be tamed in practice. His age is of concern, but his health is strong. He knows who and what he likes, and he would probably try to have a formidable successor in a Vice President.

I may not vote for him, but his ideas have some significant pull, while others for every group seem crazy. What may be of additional concern is how he would handle the issue of compromise and negotiation. I suspect that if he wanted to be politically viable, he would give in to suggestions, but he may be a battering ram to get as much of his way as he can without sacrificing too much political capital. Then again, he could do just that and sacrifice everything and gain so little.

I do not share Representative Paul's ideals. I will probably not vote in this election just like I did not vote in the last election, but there are a couple of GOP candidates I am watching with interest.

You call yourself a libertarian yet you don't like Ron Paul...and yes it does mean that because he is the only candidate with a chance of winning that is for smaller government. He said our interference in the middle east is why we are attacked and any sane person realizes he is correct.

Palin is a nut case...and a neo con to the max...I think she would do horrible against Obama. Paul is liked by Republicans,Independents and Libertarians.....

Maybe a Paul/Duke ticket or Paul/Paul or Paul/Bachmann or Paul/Christie any of those I would enjoy.

Better make sure we know who his VP would be. He's older than poor John McCain, whom many said had one foot in the grave last election cycle.

A fiscal conservative would be saying almost all of those things are the State of Texas' problem, not the taxpayers in Wisconsin's problems.

Do you know how earmarks work? Whether or not Congressman Paul puts in a request for an earmark, the money has already been appropriated for spending. Earmarks simply allow politicians to choose how the money is spent instead of some federal bureaucrat. No additional money is spent due to Paul's earmark requests. And as long as that is the case, why wouldn't he make a request? I may not be in favor of medicare, but if I pay taxes all my life, is it wrong for me to benefit from medicare? Surely, it is not. Btw, Ron Paul has not voted in favor of any of the spending bills that would have allocated money to his requested earmarks.

He'd probably be forced to take a knuckle-dragger to balance the ticket and give the hardcore social conservatives someone to get excited about. Another reason to hope he doesn't get it, to my mind.
