What is your favourite Tarantino film?

Reservoir Dogs and Inglourious Basterds are the only two I consider really good movies. Kill Bill had it's moments, but mostly since it had Chiaki Kuriyama.

I liked Pulp Fiction, probably because it was the first Tarantino flick I ever watched. The rest of them just seemed to be basically the same thing, except for Death Proof. Death Proof was un-watchable. That long scene at the bar when the girls were talking was especially bad.

Res Dogs is my favorite film of his. Pulp comes up a close second.

I am a huge Tarantino fan. I pretty much love all of his movies, but I had to give Reservoir Dogs the nod here.

Thanks for lending an ear. :2razz:

Wow, tough one.

I voted Kill Bill, but Reservior Dogs is really a better dramatic movie in many regards, and Pulp Fiction is right up there with it. Hard to choose between them really.

I liked Death Proof quite a lot, and the slow development of the plot didn't bother me because there were many interesting characters to figure out along the way.

Inglorious Basterds.... it was really good, and there were some moments that were just utterly awesome... but in some ways I thought it dragged on a bit too long.

Dogs. I'm not big on QT, but I love that one.

The problem with Tarantino is he has so many great influences, but the originals he is paying tribute to is always better. He is a big fan of John Woo's Hong Kong work, but that work is superior to all his films(see for example Hard Boiled). Kill Bill was a tribute to Lady Snowblood, but never comes close to the awesomeness of that film. It also contains Lone Wolf and Cub references, and nothing comes close to the quality of the manga nor the over the top violence of the movies(see Shogun Assassin).

Inglorious Bastards is the only one I could tolerate... and tolerate just once. I have no use for any of his other films.

Kill Bill was a pitch perfect homage to everything that is good and pure in kung-fu movies.

Well, more Samurai than kung-fu. There is a reason why the Bride's daughter and her watch Samurai Assassin together.

There were a lot of obvious chanbara influences, but on the whole, I thought the movie was more Chinese in theme.

Jackie Brown

Just kidding Seriously though Reservoir Dogs.

Really? I find that odd. I mean the Lady Snowblood influence is so obvious for one.

1. True Romance.

2. Dogs.
3. Pulp.
3. Natural Born Killers (he took his name off it after an argument with Stone, IIRC)

I would also like to note The Mexican, a very Tarantino-esque film.

Reservoir Dogs is probably my number 1 there, followed closely with Pulp Fiction. I really liked Jackie Brown too.

The second Kill Bill, so I didn't vote.
