Unfortunately lefts are against more strictly control of suspicious Muslims, therefore a fly together with two imams could be like a Russian Roulette. Why while any drunk or passenger may be restricted to entry the board, Teachers of a very "peaceful" Religion may fly without any prohibition.

Back on topic: It is easy to Monday morning quarterback a decision that, at the time, wasn't as clear cut. There are a group of Imams running around trying to get thrown off of flights for the expressed purpose of getting thrown off the airplane. They think it shows xenophobia, but it really displays their own stupidity. It is unfortunate for this pilot that he was caught as a pawn of these Imams in their political game.

Your mistake here is in not understanding that being muslim, or looking muslin, is in itself not suspicious.

this pilot's action is not unlike the bus drivers' of the 50's
feeling free not to accept black riders

the difference is that busses were not getting blown up by blacks

they were being blown up by racist whites who didn't like the freedom riders

a bus driver throwing a black off a bus was based on the IRRATIONAL motivation of RACISM

You would have a point, if a statistically significant portion of muslims flying on airplanes committed acts of terrorism. That is not the case, and that is why it is irrational. 99.99 and probably some more 9's % of muslims flying are doing nothing wrong. The odds of a particular muslim being one who is plotting a terror strike are ridiculously small. That is why the emphasis needs to be on smart profiling. Not profiling based on looks, but based on how people act. It is much more effective.

No it is not. It is apples and oranges.

Keep in mind that a plane cannot be pulled over on any given street. You are all up in the air with no way to stop in an easy fashion.


You know I am no racist and you know the two are nothing alike. A pilot should be allowed some leeway in reguards to this type of thing in this day of terrorism. What has our own gov. came out and told us to do? If you feel something is not right and if you feel you are viewing something that could be danger? Report it. Even if turns out to be a crap call? Better safe than sorry. I feel if our gov. is willing to call on everyday citizens to be watchful about things? Then I am willing to give this pi8lot a pass on making a crap call. He did it for safety. I am not mad.

I disagree..its easy to sit here and backseat drive and not have the pilots responsibility and make judgements without seeing first hand exactly whats happening or having any direct knowledge.
