Let's see...... can any of you guys name a single law he's ever helped pass? What's his foreign policy experience? What legislation has he ever supported? Maybe you can point us to a single bill he's ever sponsored? His political resume is.... thin.
And thats a bad thing? politicians suck

Normally i would have agree with you, but he proves to be qualified imo

Cain together with Palin could be an option.

You really don't want to play the experience game do you? :lamo

I'll take an accomplished CEO who truly understands our economy over a teleprompter reading moron who's never produced a damn thing in his life.

God help us all. The only ticket that would be worse than that would be Bachmann/Palin

Yeah, Obama even before he was elected president, is more experienced then Cain. And just because one is a CEO of a business, does not mean they understand how the economy works.

If you knew anything about him you would know he is really informed and is absolutely clear on the facts in which he is basing his policies under. That is the reason why he has gotten so far, he speaks solutions and very direct. What makes you thin a politician would know squat more than a business man who has worked from the ground up multiple times in the buisness world... he knows exactly how it works, just look at the Cain vs. Clinton video.

Dude i dont think Palin is bad, but her public image is down the toilet... it would be very unwise to have her run.

I liked herman cain in the debate and thought he stood out...but I cant say right now that I would definitely vote for him in the primary

I know all about Cain, I used to listen to his radio show every week for years. I'm still not impressed.

The ONLY thing Obama is experienced at is the continuous campaign and the search for a better job. Every elected position he has ever held, until now, he spent campaigning to move on to the next one. Now, with nowhere else to go, he finally has to produce results but falls flat on his face and is utterly clueless. So he defaults to the campaign mode and world apology tours.

Yes he gave the orders to get OBL but, IMHO, it was more in spite of him than because of him. A lot of the policies, military options and intelligence apparatus he used was built up by previous administrations. The armed and intelligence services that participated in the raid get 98% of the credit, Obama gets the rest.

How has he fell on his face and is utterly clueless? You can't just say someone is something without backing it up with facts/opinions.

I think an interesting ticket will be West/Rubio. I see it for 2016...I don't think 2012 matters. Its not in play.
There are two problems I envision with a West/Rubio ticket.
1. Since they will not be able to include Florida's electoral votes even if they win the state, that puts at a major disadvantage to their Democratic counterparts. To make that up they would need to win every other swing state and I see that as a long shot.

2. Politicians have ego. Senator Rubio is ambitious and I cannot see him choosing to be Vice President to a, quite frankly, lesser politician in Allen West.

With regards to Herman Cain, I do not see what is so impressive about him. It seems that all he does is repeat the standard conservative talking points of the last 30 years, while offering no actual new ideas. Maybe one of his fans can help me out with that.

Because there hasn't been an actual conservative in the White House for 22 years. Neither of the Bushes were conservative... they were both big-gov centrists. Center-right at best.

If you are republican, you don't want Rommey. He won't invigorate the base and they won't go out to vote because Hes Obama lite in the bases eyes.

Back on topic: Cain supports the Fair tax law (woot) because of the prebate system, which is suppose to ensure that no one pays taxes on life essentials. Now, in the past I was more incline to not tax essentials, but I shied away from that due to it giving certain industries special privileges. What I was thinking though, instead of a prebate, which is money doled out based on family size and your states poverty line to cover life expenses, why not do the reverse income tax. The reverse income tax, purposed by Milton Freedman, is, IMO, fundamentally different, because it is means tested. This way, the rich get taxed at a higher rate and the poor are completely removed from the burden of the taxes.

Thoughts?

The fair tax encourages making as much money as possible, be it the rich, middle class, or poor. Miltons way is still punishing success and giving no incentive really to improve your lifestyle. With the fair tax the rich will still be paying way more than lower income, because they buy way more new stuff.
For example, say a stinkin' rich guy goes out and buys a new porsche. He's going to pay a lot of taxes on that baby. When he decides to sell someday, the taxes have already been paid, and the not so rich guy pays nothing in taxes.
The only class warfare will be because one class can afford new and the other can't. Ahaa! Those jealous of that may get motivated to work harder or further their education.
Today, all we here is tax the rich. It gets old, and does nothing to encourage people to become successful.

I disagree, I think based on what I saw, agree with him or not, Cain would destroy Romney... and while Romney wouldn't be the worst prez in my opinion I think this election is really going to be about who's the lesser of two evils.

I will reserve my judgement for now on who I'm going to choose to endorse at the end of it all... but I'm not endorsing Obama as of yet.

I just really don't wanna see a socially conservative jackass in the white House.

If Cain gets the nomination it will be the first time ever, I won't be voting for the lesser of two evils. Romney, Pawlenty, Santorum, Trump, Huckabee, yep, I'll be holding my nose again like I did for Mccain. Palin,? Bachmann? ( The only other real conservatives) I like them alot but I don't think they can beat Obama. Cain can.

I didn't see the debate, but I wasn't impressed with his highest mark during the debate. He said something like "Government isn't the solution, it's the problem. The government has never created a job. The government needs to get out of the free market, and let businesses create jobs."

Then he said something like... and the government shouldn't tell businesses where to build a factory.

I have heard a lot of republicans say the stuff he said. If that's his highest moment in the debate, I am kind of shocked. He didn't say anything new or groundbreaking. That was nothing but talking points. I didn't hear a policy proposal or a solution to anything.

I also disagree with him that company's should be allowed to build factories where ever they want, no, they shouldn't be allowed to build factories in some places. They shouldn't be allowed to build factories near nature reserves and natural parks, or in communities and destroy that community's natural resources with pollution.. Call me a hippie or whatever, I don't give a ****. But my sister is a lawyer and she's told me about companies polluting communities and giving the people cancer, and then playing stupid about the health risks they exposed innocent people and families to. That isn't right. Cain is probably an unlikely candidate to have that ever happen to him though, because when politicians pretend like they don't care about the safety of the others, they still care about themselves. I can't believe people clapped when he said that, what a bunch a suckers.

Liblady, I've heard several people complain about that statement he made. You don't have the whole story. They were in SC and they were talking about boeing. That got lost in the translation by the media. That why the huge applause.

Suddenly the LEFT discovers this might be an issue....

...how pathetic.

Nah.. but Cain could appoint her to a job in energy. I bet they'd work together real well. I'm still hoping West will give in and run or at least accept the VP. There's serious going ons to draft him. Who knows, stranger things have happened.
