HERMAN CAIN, CEO, THE NEW VOICE: Well, Neil, as you know, HermanCain.com is here, as I tell people.

That he is. Here he is with Neil Cavuto, after kicking the crap out of Tim Pawlenty in the Republican Presidential Debate. Pawlenty shouldn't have shown up. Maybe the other major candidates knew something he didn't.

So answer the poll.

I missed the debate. I had a lot of things to do today... I guess it was good?

Yea i created a poll about him like a week ago... this guy knows is stuff... he's incredibly sharp on his feet, he barely stalls/hesitates when he is stating facts.
I WILL vote for him in the primary.

so fresh...

Even better, the response the Fox audience gets after the debate

he is certainly polished and likable,

wikipedia quotes him saying ""Yes I believe in the gold standard. We should have never gotten off the gold standard because when we got off the gold standard, that then allowed Congress to inflate our currency whenever they overspent. Now look at the mess that we have."

surprised that didn't come up in the debate.

Let's see...... can any of you guys name a single law he's ever helped pass? What's his foreign policy experience? What legislation has he ever supported? Maybe you can point us to a single bill he's ever sponsored? His political resume is.... thin.

oh and just so everybody knows, Hermain Cain wouldn't release the photo of a dead Bin Laden either :ssst:

I wanna see his birth certificate damn it!!!

And no, I wouldn't vote for him.

I have to say though YS.

Compared to Palin, or Bachmann, who would you rather have if the GOP had to nominate someone?

Yea I saw that. There are justifiable reasons not to. Extremist are crazy, it could spawn a series of attacks (since they secretly believe it didn't happen) and America, even thought we love us some violence, is squeamish. I'm not done watching the debate yet. I'll hold on voting in either poll.

Well, maybe Mitch Daniels.

I'd rather have Romney.

He can't win a general election.

He has more of a chance then Palin, Bachmann, Cain.

If you are republican, you don't want Rommey. He won't invigorate the base and they won't go out to vote because Hes Obama lite in the bases eyes.

Back on topic: Cain supports the Fair tax law (woot) because of the prebate system, which is suppose to ensure that no one pays taxes on life essentials. Now, in the past I was more incline to not tax essentials, but I shied away from that due to it giving certain industries special privileges. What I was thinking though, instead of a prebate, which is money doled out based on family size and your states poverty line to cover life expenses, why not do the reverse income tax. The reverse income tax, purposed by Milton Freedman, is, IMO, fundamentally different, because it is means tested. This way, the rich get taxed at a higher rate and the poor are completely removed from the burden of the taxes.

Thoughts?

I disagree, I think based on what I saw, agree with him or not, Cain would destroy Romney... and while Romney wouldn't be the worst prez in my opinion I think this election is really going to be about who's the lesser of two evils.

I will reserve my judgement for now on who I'm going to choose to endorse at the end of it all... but I'm not endorsing Obama as of yet.

I just really don't wanna see a socially conservative jackass in the white House.

Then register Republican and vote against them in the primary.

I didn't see the debate, but I wasn't impressed with his highest mark during the debate. He said something like "Government isn't the solution, it's the problem. The government has never created a job. The government needs to get out of the free market, and let businesses create jobs."

Then he said something like... and the government shouldn't tell businesses where to build a factory.

I have heard a lot of republicans say the stuff he said. If that's his highest moment in the debate, I am kind of shocked. He didn't say anything new or groundbreaking. That was nothing but talking points. I didn't hear a policy proposal or a solution to anything.

I also disagree with him that company's should be allowed to build factories where ever they want, no, they shouldn't be allowed to build factories in some places. They shouldn't be allowed to build factories near nature reserves and natural parks, or in communities and destroy that community's natural resources with pollution.. Call me a hippie or whatever, I don't give a ****. But my sister is a lawyer and she's told me about companies polluting communities and giving the people cancer, and then playing stupid about the health risks they exposed innocent people and families to. That isn't right. Cain is probably an unlikely candidate to have that ever happen to him though, because when politicians pretend like they don't care about the safety of the others, they still care about themselves. I can't believe people clapped when he said that, what a bunch a suckers.

I think an interesting ticket will be West/Rubio. I see it for 2016...I dont think 2012 matters. Its not in play.
