HAT TIP: This is a poll directly linked to TDZ's poll which asks the direct opposite question.

We see very little if ANY on TV and in the movies. A white comedian or a predominantly white sitcom or a predominantly white movie. They tend to avoid bashing on blacks. Rarely they'll have blacks appear to be ignorant about the world around them and so on.

So, should this be allowed and more "accepted" given the amount of Black comics, Black Sitcoms or Black Movies which tend to reference whites or is this another type of racism? Should whites be allowed to launch all white networks, such as WET, that target their jokes towards blacks?

So long as it's actually funny, then you can mock anyone you want. But it's not difficult to tell when it's not genuine comedy but instead a veil to cover up cruelty. Comedy is fine. Cruelty is not.

Who cares.

It's funny **** - I laugh at them, they laugh at me . . . we're all friends in the end.

People act as if it's only acceptable to make fun of people you *don't like* - or if making fun of people means you don't like them but that' sfar from comedy and humor. Holy crap.

Racism is a serious issue, though - and that is in regard to how you TREAT people in your daily life - it doesn't relate at all to what stimulates your medial prefrontal ventral cortex.

Sure. If they're funny, I'll laugh. If they're not funny, I'll side eye.

I've always though the best comedy involved people making fun of themselves or their own.

Quite right - Chris Rock comes to mind as a prominent comedian who makes fun of his own race at times. However, Chappelle who's all but disappeared from the limelight got huge for the direct opposite. Both are very funny.

On a side note, I think Larry the Cable guy does the same thing for the "redneck" population. He uses self deprecating humor about himself, his family, his girlfriends, whatever.

Not that it matters but id say making fun of blacks is 50% of both of their acts, these are two of my favorite comedians and its a large part of their acts..

Yes, but I would be an idiot to say it is not somehow seen as taboo.

I think there are two characteristics that have to be in play...the comedian has to be an equal opportunity across the board anyone and everything goes type offender, and the humor has to be something that pretty much universally people can recognize as funny-which means it has to sting with an element of truth.

Sure, as long as the white person they are making fun of is Donald Trump:

Also, this Louis CK clip on being white is ****ing hilarious:

I thought Obama's run was awesome...comedy gold...and if people cant recognize that...well...that broom handle thats wedged up your ass is in so deep your anus has hit straw and you should probably back it out a little bit. I actually thought he went easy on Trump.

He did. He has the perfect pokerface to deliver a monologue like that.

You know what is really amazing? While he was delivering those comments, he knew that Navy Seals and other military personnel were on their way to take out Bin Laden. Think about the level of cool that it would require to act so nonchalant and amused, all the while knowing that a major military operation to take out the world's biggest terrorist was underway.

I voted with him with a considerable degree of trepidation, and now I find myself kind of liking the guy.

My favorite joke was the Biggie and 2pac line, that was priceless, and so was watching the Donald's face.

Why he was even there is beyond me. He likely knew he was going to be fair game.

Dood went on a Comedy Central Roast. How can he at all be twisted about the jokes last night? I think he caught something from Gary Busey.

That's a man who cannot laugh at himself, and yet, is a walking joke.

Apparently, he didn't think Obama would talk about him. He's a moron.

"I wouldn't think [Obama] would address me" during his speech, Trump told ABC News upon arriving at the Washington Hilton.

As for why he showed up, Trump offered this Trump-ism: "I was invited. By a lot of people." (Trump is attending the dinner as a guest of the Washington Post.)

Seth Meyers goes for the jugular with Trump:

Watch Trump's face during Meyer's comments. He doesn't even crack a smile.

Come on, even Bill O'Reilly and the Fox News table are capable of laughing at themselves and they pretty much get it every year.
