Gov't entities are looking for ways to cut their budgets. Sheriff's dept's & prisons are laying off officers across the country. It has been suggested that we begin to charge those inmates who have the means "rent" while they are in prison. Unfortunately "some" do not think that is fair and see it as another form of "theft".
In addition, there are approximately 10 million or so (it's a rough estimate, don't beat me up for it) illegal aliens in the US currently. These individuals are roaming are streets and the vast majority of them have only committed the crime of not being here legally.
With these facts in mind I propose we do the following:
Conduct a census on the number of illegal aliens that will enable us to determine how many we have from each country. Once that is done, gather up an identical number of prison inmates from around the country and ship them off to the country the illegal aliens are from. In return, we will give the illegal aliens citizenship in the US.
So, if Cuba has 3 million illegal aliens, we put 3 million prisoners on rafts and send them off to Cuba.
Mexico has 4 million illegal aliens, we line up 4 million prisoners and have them jump the fence into Mexico.
Now, some will see this I'm sure as a burden on the country that receives these convicts as they will need housing, food, medical care and jobs. So, to help alleviate some of this problem we will give each convict $10,000.00 in cash to get started in their new country. Of course, if they get mugged at the border by the locals we're not responsible for that.
The only condition for the convict is this: If you ever come back into the US you will be shot on site as if your escaping from prison.
So, with this idea, we no longer have to house, clothe, feed and provide medical care to inmates in addition to the huge array of luxuries they receive and the illegal aliens become law abiding citizens.
