By all I've seen, Special Olympics are a great thing. Sad to say though, the only Special Olympics events I've seen were on TV.

Sadly My son who is Autistic is not functional enough to compete. Years ago a friend of mine had a sister that competed and I went it was great fun. To see how excited the competitors get is so great
