Should Groups Be Able to Use Government Money to Lobby?

Should groups that recieve Government Funds be able to lobby?

  • Yes - Maximize the Groups' Free Speech despite the harm done to Taxpayers Freedom "not" to speak.

Only if I can use government IE tax payer's money to buy firearms.If not then hell no.
 
Absolutely not. If a special interest group wants to hire lobbyists to promote their agenda, then they can damn well pay for it themselves.

Also, I have no idea if money is fungible, since I don't know what that means.

Is money fungible at your house? It sure is at mine. Of course, it's fungible. If I'm hooked on drugs and grammaw gives me $200 for food, is she funding my drug habit? Of course. Poor grammaw...aiding and abetting her drugie granddaughter. That's egzakly why people are against giving money to Planned Parenthood, yes? I know you already knew the answer to your own question...just bein' assertive here. ;)

To answer your first question, I'd ask you, "Why not?" Lobbying isn't always about funding. Sometimes it's about helpful legislation. That's my first blush. My second is that our lobbying laws are in serious need of reform, sooooo -- "I'm not sure."

And I agree with the first sentence, fully..
The idea or concept of federal funds for this purpose is not good.
Are the law-makers really listening ?
And, are the people speaking the truth ??????
