Cosmetic changes shouldn't be made when we're bankrupt as it is.

We're not bankrupt. And the rich fighting tooth and nail to avoid paying more taxes are as far from bankrupt as it's possible to be.

Not as long as it has "In God We Trust" on it. Money should be secular.

Why should it be ?
We live in a democracy, do we not ?
Few people want this "God" thing removed..
I'd say the time is coming soon when the entire Constitution should be re-done. Its an antiquated scrap of paper - pertinent to an earlier time in our history.
I'll bet the tea-bagging conservatives love this silly idea of changing the one dollar(one dime) "bill" to show the Constitution.

No, a republic.

That's not their point. The Constitution states that the federal government shouldn't "choose" a religion. I'm okay with "In God We Trust" not being on our money.

Holy wow.

I consider myself a tea partier and I think it's a silly idea. And, seriously, aren't we beyond the immature name-calling yet?

Did you know that there is a spider on the $1 bill?
There's also a tiny owl.

We're not?

Nope. In fact, all it would take to completely eliminate the revenue deficit would be to raise top marginal income tax rates back to 1963-1980 levels.

I really don't care what you Americans put on your currency. I don't think I'd have a problem with my Constitution on my money. Would be a good reference to flaws when I don't have my law book >: D
