Is Barack Obama an American?

Is Barack Obama an American?

  • Total voters
    52
  • Poll closed .
Hey look. Conservatives messed with the poll numbers again. Some people can't stand losing so much, even when they are wrong, that they have to try to cheat.

Very telling that there have been 42 "no" votes and none of the usual far right wing suspects have shown up to weigh in on Obama's citizenship.

I wasn't aware there was ever a question as to whether Obama was American.

I swear to God, these idiotic stupid ass threads need to stop being made. OBAMA IS AN AMERICAN! HE WAS BORN IN HAWAII! END OF STORY!

One thing I would like to note here :
While those that believe Obama to be american have been more vocal in the posts, the results show that more people believe that he's not... and have mostly remained silent. Not that this poll is anything approaching scientific.

I put; I don't know... I've just not seen the long-form. But that doesn't mean he does not have one.

Well, this thread wasn't started by a birther (at least I don't think so).

Is Barack Obama an American?

Explain.

Duhh....

....a politician from ****cago would never lie.
.
..

He was born on Hawaii, which is a US state, thus he is American.

You know who wasn't born in the USA? George Washington.

None of the presidents until van Buren were born in the US.

Bah, I didn't even know this. I could have googled it, but I'm too lame. You, however, rock!

 I only know because van Buren is my favourite US president on account of his awesome facial hair.

Duh. 1234…

Its a good thing you made the votes public because it looks like some conspiracy-tard cooked the polls.

If your mommy AND your daddy are American citizens, then you are automatically an American at birth. However, if it's either one or the other, but not both, then there are certain exceptions. I learned this from reading all the birther BS lol.

Yeah, basically the one parent who is a U.S. citizen has to prove residence in the U.S. for at least five years...

he gets the same benefit that Obama does, if one or more parents are American, then so is he...
If Obama isn't an American, neither is John McCain...

Different...

1. McCain was born on a U.S. military installation. Under U.S. law, this is considered U.S. territory for citizenship purposes. Both of his parents are U.S. citizens.
2. Obama was born on U.S. soil, so no difference there for citizenship purposes. Only ONE parent was a U.S. citizen, and if one is born OUTSIDE the U.S. with only one citizen parent, that citizen parent must meet certain requirements to pass on that citizenship to his/her child.

Beating the same old dead horse is rather childish and really only appeals to a small sick minority. At one time it resonated, but not now, not after it's been proved dozens of times.

Maybe if he sang Yankee Doodle, waved the flag, and had the Constitution tattooed on his chest...

There's none so blind who will NOT see...

If anyone voted NO they should be kicked off this forum. You have to be F-in brain dead Charlie Sheen-like moron to thing anything other than yes.

Can a Mod take this thread away to EITHER the Sewer or the CONSPIRACY area please?

He's an American citizen...he's not American in his beliefs.

You do know, don't you, that the originator of this thread and poll is actually a liberal?

Is he an American citizen? Yes.

Does he support many common American virtues? Yes.

Therefore, yes, American.

He's an American citizen...he's not American in his beliefs.

He's not exactly pouncing around like some posters here who clearly and utterly reject the American creed. He tends to get far too liberal for my taste, but come now, let's be a tad bit honest. We can't name names around here, but I think you could think of some examples to demonstrate the comparative Americanness of Obama.
