Is Beck's crying real or fake?

He also cried on air when talking about the birth of his daughter who has cerebral palsy. Was that fake too?

I know someone who made one of the stupidest statements I have ever heard in my life. She said, "Anyone who cries on national TV is faking." Really???

Talk about making your friends feel uncomfortable around you, and I am a female so crying is more socially acceptable for me... It makes me wonder if it's from some kind mental instability...

If a female cried like that, she'd look fragile, emotional, or weak and men usually try to not cry for fear of looking fragile, emotional, or weak. It's really not socially acceptable for anybody... male or female.. to break down in tears like that and sob, and still be viewed as emotionally together.

Not all crying is sobbing. But, yes, I would think that was weird if a guy friend of mine starting crying. I do not see it as mental instability for a guy to cry, however.

Am I the only one who thinks that real crying isn't something people can control, so therefore shouldn't be made fun of?

I know there have been times that I would've given anything not to cry, but that doesn't mean I could just buck up and stop it.

I have never watched Beck, but if he cries over things that are appropriate to cry about, then there is no problem.

Also, why is there a thread on this? Who really cares?

People have to try to paint Glenn as mentally disturbed because they want people to stop listening to him. I see nothing wrong with being an emotional person. It's the people who never cry who disturb me.

That's funny... What would Obama cry about?

If Obama cried about people he has met dying of medical conditions and with no health coverage, and used that to push the healthcare agenda.. then yeah, I'd say her reaction wouldn't be positive..

If Obama went up to Boehner and cried he is destroying America with his budget proposal, then that would be lulz. Obama the liberal version of Beck.

He can't act like that... people just wouldn't take him seriously. Plus he is a secret Kenyan and Muslim, so he only cries for radical sharia law...

I would love it and possibly would change my mind about him. As it is I think he is cold, unfeeling and uncaring about anything but himself. If he ever cried about something like the greatness of America or the trouble she is in, I would be pleasantly shocked.
