pb, if you don't think Beck believes anything he says, then why in the heck are you chirping about every single thing he says every single second here? Sheesh. What a waste time!

It doesn't matter if he believes what he says. It matters if other people believe what he says when he has his crazy talk sessions and tries to convince people that google could partly be behind government takeovers. A loon isn't a problem until he gets his own tv show and people take him seriously.

I think he spreads misinformation. How would I remedy him? By ignoring him most of the time. I wouldn't ban him from tv if that's what you're asking in a not so subtle manner.
 
If I had to make a guess I'd say about 75% legit 25% shtick. I think they generally believe the ideals they're talking about and things they're saying, while exaggerating or going over the top with guesses and questions for an entertainment purpose rather than honest belief of it

Alan Colmes? Does he still have a radio show? Does anyone know where I could find it here in Dallas/FW area? I used to listen, but he was just so hateful to republicans/conservatives when he wasn't being down right boring I stopped listening for a while. Now can't find him. Figured they took him off because he had no listeners.
Anyway, it's no surprise that he's going to say that two of the most popular radio show hosts, don't believe what they say. I'd be shocked if he said anything good about them.

The important question you should be asking yourself: Why do you care what is posted about Glenn Beck? You and others here at DP seem to protect him as though he was a family member. Some here say I have an obession with Beck, it's not true, I do have some fun with his follower though. Ivan Pavlov and his dogs. :lol: I have often thought whether Limbaugh actually believes what he says. Some have said it does matter whether these men actually believe what they say and I agree. Both are men are talented and smart, because of the outrageous things they say, it is hard to fathom they actually believe it. It's all about $$$$$$$.

John Boehner can cry pretty good too. Can't blame them actually when I see where this country is headed, I cry too.

If it's all about money, then why did Beck spend $250,000 of his own money as well as a ton of his time and energy on the 8.28 Project? And he didn't make a dime off of it. He LOST money (willingly). So......how was that about making money?

You take all the facts and evidence you can gather and form an opinion. Most times that opinion will be correct.
 
Most of what Beck and Limbaugh say is their opinion. Why get so bent out of shape because you disagree with them? Chill out.

Don't know about Mellie, but
I care because I don't like seeing anyone wrongly accused. People who are obsessed with discrediting Beck at every turn, have made me look obsessed with him and every word that comes out of his mouth.

I also "think" he's a crazy loon. After watching him through this egypt stuff and accusing the Bush admin. being in bed with communists... I'm not sure how much longer he'll be on tv in all honesty. Someone at fox is going to realize sooner or later that they're better off without him. They had great ratings before him and they'll have great ratings after him.
 
Beck and Limbaugh are salesmen. They sell a product. Whether they believe in their product is irrelevant. They make money from it. That's all that matters.
 
A few says ago I had the thought that people that watch Beck are divided into 2 major groups, one that is scared after listening to him and the other that is scared after listening to him.

I don't agree. Those who watch Beck will not be surprised and might be prepared if things he believes comes true. Other's who have been living with their heads buried in the sand will be saying "Holy ****! How'd this happen?"
If he's wrong, no harm done.

I have always thought that pundits say a lot of stuff to make money... If Ann Coulter never said anything offensive or shocking, nobody would know who she was. If Beck wasn't on TV crying and talking about FEMA concentration camps, he wouldn't be as well known either.

It's the same with Olbermann. If he didn't carry on like he wanted to be hated by the right, they wouldn't care enough to talk about him on FOX.

Didn't Emeniem say this was his marketing strategy? To make money off of controversy or being hated, or something like that...
