Glenn Beck Adds Google to Caliphate Conspiracy Theory | News & Opinion | PCMag.com

Commentator Glenn Beck yesterday added Google to his list of organizations that "may or may not" be part of a vast conspiracy to create a one world Islamic government. And just in case his audience intends to do a bit of research of their own, they'd better use Bing, because Google is off-limits.

"May I recommend if you are doing your own homework, don't do a Google search. Seems to me that Google is pretty deeply in bed with the government," explained Beck. "Remember, maybe this is explaining why Google is being kicked out of all the other countries? Are they just a shill now for the United States government? Who is Jared Cohen? Is he private citizen or government operative, and isn't this the second Google guy we've found?"

Normally, I try not to do Beck stuff, unless its funny. This one qualifies as funny.

Also, to make this even funnier, Beck suggests using Bing, however even Bing uses Google.

When I first read the title of this thread, I thought I might be one of those made up titles from the Glenn Beck create your own conspiracy website.

Apparently, I was wrong.

It just goes to show you, the best humor mirrors reality.

A little bit of Glenn Beck humor in the morning is always a good thing.

There is nothing funny about this Beck character, he is dangerous, very dangerous to the American masses.
He is a prophet to too many fools, along with Rush and other right wing extremists.
The democrats have no counter. they may think they are above this spin and lie machine...
The best way to combat lies is the truth.
The Dem's have yet to learn this, IMO.
I watch MSNBC, Fox, PBS, or at least as much as I can stand.

It just worries me that there are those out there that takes his word as gospel and believe what he says is true. But of course Google is set to conquere the world! Not just for the US, but reign over the US as well!!!!!(play evil laugh track)

Google involved in some sort-of one world government. Well protractedly, sure. A one world islamic government? lawlz.

Where are all the Beck fans coming to his defense? Or are they even embarrassed by this?

[sarcasm]

Of course! If Glenn Beck says that Google is trying to create a global Islamic government than it must be true.

[/sarcasm]

Maybe they are working? :D

To the OP:

Could they be? Yes
Are they? I don't know
Is it possible? Yes
Is it likely? Probably not
Do the facts point towards Beck possibly being right? Yes
Does that mean that Beck is right? No

Nothing to see here folks, move along. Just another "bash Beck" thread in a sea of "bash Beck" threads.

Not to say that Beck isn't an unstable imbecile, but geez. Enough, already.

Jesus Christ man - what the ****? (To Beck, not you)

Google is the epitome of the American Dream. They are an ideal copany built from the ground up in a garage.

They don't need a government bailout.
They don't dismiss the personal lives and issues of their employees.
They uphold a variety of solid ethics and values regardless of what country they're in (can't say that for a lot of other international giants).
Heck - they even bawlked at the US government's demands to release everyone's search-criteria.

They are the ICONS of what hard work, good values and perserverance can do for people who *have and idea one day*

Beck's issue - that he's pulled out of his peachy paranoid asshole - is baseless and quite honestly horrid. . . it goes to show that in this country no matter WHAT you do - no matter how many people you benefit - for NO REASON at all you could end up being hated for being successful.

**** Beck.

They are the epitome of the 1st Amendment rights to freedom of the press, freedom of speech - through them people have turned their lives around for the better and educated theirselves - all in the name of providing quick-searches for your favorite youtube videos. Quite honestly, I take Beck's accusations to be as vile as it gets - worse than stupid 'that's racist!' or 'you're hitler!' that gets thrown like Candy at Mardi Gras.

Dude, I think we should hear him out. I heard my android phone plotting for world domination the other night when I was asleep. The googles are coming to get you....

Google's motto of "Do No Evil" does not quite extend to not complying with a country's demands (China), but it occasionally tries to do the free speech motto with the internet in other countries when enough pressure comes. Nuance is not Beck's skill.

What?

Is Microsoft paying him off or something?

Er... this originally looked like I was saying "enough already" to Hugh_Askton, whom I quoted. Actually I was agreeing with his post. "Enough already" to the bash Glen Beck threads.

I'm embarrassed to have worded it so clumsily that even I wondered what I meant when I reread it. :doh

I haven't watched the TV show for a long time, but I do listen to the radio show. I've heard him say "something's not right with Google", but I don't really know what he's talking about.

If Beck were not playing the part of a tea-bagging conservative fool, he would be bashed.
But then he, like me , would be ignored, and this this speaks volumes for his audience.

Beck was around before the Tea-Party thing started.
In fact, he had a hand in starting it - not the othe way around.
