Ronald Reagan was a conservative? Rofl. He was as neo-liberal as they come. Strong belief in foreign intervention, support for brutal pro-West regimes and a reluctance to address domestic issues like AIDS, poverty etc. Laissez faire economics is quite possibly the most anti-conservative notion I've ever heard. Wait... are we talking about American conservatism? Never mind.

I was born when he was President, so I have no memory of him... but he seems like a social conservative and that is what I think of when I think of "Conservative."

GWB was very socially conservative and the Evangelics loved him for that stuff... and mentioning God in foreign policy. That is why I voted for Bush. Palin does both of those things too, so I definitely consider her a neocon. She also taxed the gas and fuel companies in Alaska and gave the residents rebate checks from the collection pot... lol... but now the Tea Party loves her. I think some of them still have the wool pulled over their eyes...

Of course they did. The Protestant demographic is a strong supporter of neo-liberal economic policies.

I say Newt Gingrich, he is also the most intelligent of the bunch.

I am missing the option God in your poll!

When I hear him talk he seems more angry than anything... He's just an angry tomato..

funny alfons... you're right, the bible should have been included in the poll

I consider Sarah Palin a right wing populist.

OK.. I guess I won't argue with that.. but she still has a socialist background that they have swept under the rug... How can the Tea Party not take her to task on that? She calls Obama a socialist and he hasn't done anything as socialist as she has yet, not to my knowledge.

In the conservative Pantheon Ronald Reagan stands alone. All conservatives worship at the altar of Ronaldus Magnus. Anyone who doesn't is not a conservative.
