Will you continue eating the "ground beef"?

Nope, for ten dollars it still feeds me for a few days. Plus I loove Taco Bell.

Anybody that thought that taco bell meat met any HIGH quality standards is well . . . . . an idiot

With that said unless this lawsuit uncovers something else no this will have zero impact on me eating there.

I hope people don't think McDonalds is top quality beef either lol

I like taco bell, although I do find their Steak Cantina Tacos to be bland. I will stick to the mom and pop hole in the wall Mexican restaurants for Mexican tacos or I will just grill a steak and chop up some cilantro, onion and radishes and warm up some corn tortillas .

It should have been obvious to anybody who spent more than 2 seconds looking at their taco while eating it. However, their current "meat" formula was yummy.

Vegans should be happy this. Perhaps one day due to corporate penny pinching while trying to maintain taste consistency there might one day be a delicious meat substitute that is cheap to produce and taste just as good as the real thing.

People like you think you're so ****ing smart and above everyone else. Did you know it was 36% beef, Einstein? No, you sure as hell didn't. So don't be so ****ing smug.

I would hardly say that Taco Bell "tastes just as good as the real thing". It's a reasonable form of substitution in that it won't kill you, won't often make you sick, and kinda tastes a bit like the real thing. But it's not just as good.

Also that new thing they have with those ****ty chips in them...it's disgusting. The chips get all soggy and crap and ewwww. Also their fire sauce is super lame.

Sounds like you're one of those people who thought it was real meat that Centrist was referring to earlier:)

I did think it was standard beef, and what is wrong with that assumption? Sounds like you are one of the people I'm talking about.

And you believe private enterprise advertising ?
I'm beginning to see the reasons for so many conservatives.
Try some NPR or a good book.....but then there is the liberal media.....can't go there.

**** veganism. Why did God create animals if we weren't supposed to eat them?

Everyone thought it was real beef, I suspect, because THAT IS HOW THEY ADVERTISE IT. That's why there's a lawsuit (alleging false advertising). I'm glad we have Guy Incognito here to point out the obvious.

The stuff looks like dog food. I don't eat the stuff so I actually could care less... the less you know about what it is, the better off you are.

I only eat chicken that is identifiable as actual chicken in fast food restaurants these days (no chicken patties or chicken nuggets for me). But I definitely want to know what's in it. And, I'd like to know how this is able to get past federal food safety regulations. How can a restaurant sell a product as beef when it isn't, in fact, beef?

So long as it tastes good...

I never eat Taco Bell. And I have always suspected that the "beef" in it is really messed up. Years ago I heard that their meet is near the quality of that found in dog food. I just don't eat their food, I never really liked it and it all tasted artificial to me.

I blame the conservatives for stripping away regulation on corporations who then serve us dog food.

I would suspect simply by making a claim it's beef. The problem there is anyone can claim anything - but until it's checked, we really don't know. To me the tip off is, when you get something like a .99 cent meal - you know, it's made out of plastic parts, road kill and dried insects all blended together and poured in a mold, colored and "seasoned" to taste like whatever they want it to taste like, and then passed off. I'm to the point now that where meat is concerned, I buy it from the supermarket but I grind it myself. I can't control the chemicals and hormones they use unless I go out and pur, chase from a farmer - but even they shoot antibiotics and hormones into their stock. Chicken feed has it already in from the time they're chicks. So when I want a taco - I unfortunately have to purchase the soft shells frozen, deep fry them or bake them myself, fry up my own ground beef, add my own seasoning (no MSG), cut up my own lettuce I grow, my own onions (or if I have to bought ones), and real cheddar cheese with the salsa I also make myself. Sad really... all that work for a taco which is why I haven't made them in like 3 years.

I only eat taco bell only when I'm constipated, seems to work every time :)

I wonder if this qualifies for truth in advertising rules? Could they be sued by my AG for unfair business practices?

This is why I rarely eat fast food (except when I travel and don't have a lot of choices).

I agree. I really feel the FDA should be more involved in food quality. It can't be healthy for us to eat 90% of the stuff sold at fast food chains. If anything, those places should be forced to disclose the grade of their food. Lot's of places get deals on grade B and C meat, and they use that in fast food meals. However, when it comes to medications I think the FDA should be more lenient.

I once read what is actually in McDonald's chicken nuggets and nearly vomited. Horrible horrible stuff.

I laughed when they pushed the adds that "it's now made with real white meat!" Fast food chains should be accountable for the stuff they market and sell.

Don't care. If I get a craving, which is rarely, I'll go for it.
