Starbucks obviously has good coffee, including exotic blends like Jamaica Blue Mountain... but the cost of it!

For the money, Spinx and Hot Spot have good coffee and related drinks (I like some mocha in mine). At many of them you can even get hot frothed cream to top it off.

I have been to Starbucks once and ordered coffee for my wife and I. I paid around $10. That was the last time I went to Starbucks. Only an idiot would frequent a place where coffee is $5 a cup.

I think Burger King switched to that Seattle's Best coffee, which I really like.

We have Seattle's best at one of the Cafs here at school. It's pretty good. But I seriously dont know enough about coffee to have a 'taste' in it to form an opinion. I know when it tastes good or bad and thats about it. My parents drink this french stuff from Trader Joes. It's alright. :)

Navy ships. It's black, it's thick, and it wakes you up in a hurry. If you get lucky you get a little bit of crunchy stuff that has more caffeine than any 10 energy drinks.

If you miss this beverage, you can find it at fire stations and police departments everywhere. Yum.

only if you like that particular style of coffee. I've never had a cup of coffee from starbucks that was strong enough, creamy enough (i mean the coffee, not the actual cream) or that felt like value for money.

welcome back!

85 degrees (a local Taiwanese chain competing with -- and taking a serious dent out of the market share of -- Starbucks) and 7-eleveN have better coffee than any of the options given above...

I take it that this 85 degrees place is Taiwan only.... Surprising to see a 7 - 11 there ; Starbucks....no surprise..
My son-in-law probably makes the best.
Freshly ground in his own little mill, spring water and Baileys...if he were to read this....
Of the coffe that a man can buy at a store to self-brew...
Its Columbian coffee, which is also 20% more expensive.
I think the Maxwell House Columbian is the best, better than Folgers, and the store brand..
The others......IMO, not so good.
I'd love to try some Vietnamese coffee, from the reviews...
Those people who make watered down coffee....treat them to the water from a board....lol.

welcome back!

Thanks, Babe-a-tron! I'm back from the high seas and the savannah and sub-Arctic England. Glad to see nothing's really changed round these parts. Serious subjects being debated like this one. Hurrah!

There's a donut shop next to my college - I don't eat the donuts because I've seen them not use gloves far too often but I drink the coffee, it's awesome.

Best coffee I've ever had was in the Bahamas.

What do gloves have to do with it..
Yes I know, we now live in a "glove age"...also fear and ignorance....People should do things intelligently, with knowledge, NOT gloves and all the other safety crap.
The Folgers Gourmet Supreme is OK, with 1/2 & 1/2, but I think the Columbian is better.

If you don't care then that's fine by me - but I know where people's bare hands go when they have no sense of hygiene or concern for cleanliness - from their ass to your mouth.

You can get your fill but for me - no thanks.

McDonald's has good coffee... and good ice coffees and mochas...

Starbucks is ok... at least the one here is ok, but the best drinks they have is not plain coffee

I drink my coffee black btw... that might make a difference

Ain't that the truth, but the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf makes a good cup of Joe.

With names like Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, I'd expect good coffee... those sound tastey for some reason

The big coffee cafe in Germany is called Ballsack... well, Balzac.. but anyway.. it's surprisingly good given the name

McD's *tastes* good but it makes me sick to my stomach - I don't know what they put in it, but my body rejects it - highly unusual - I use to frequent a lot of coffee shops.

My local coffee shop (Fair Grounds Coffee House) makes a mean mocha. Plus lattes, plain, etc.

They also sell delicious vegan cakes, soups, sandwiches, breakfast items, etc. Many of my eating needs are exported there.

Of the listed, I'd say Starbucks.

No telling what they put into it. Have you seen the recent lawsuit against Taco Bell? Turns out that their "ground beef" is only 36% beef. The rest is composed of chemicals and fillers.

McD's beef doesn't taste right either... I wonder what's in theirs

IMO when it comes down to my local starbucks VS my local D&D I have to go with D&D as they give real coffee, not just some BS with whip cream.

floorsweepings....we really do not know.....being a private company, they will either lie or not devulge...and the conservatives wonder why we have so many regulations.
I listen to NPR....not Beck/Rush/Fox

Hate to admit it, but you do have a good point. I make the mistake of judging others based on my conduct/philosophy.
